hi, im new to this forum. my name is jason. my gf is currently renting a room in USJ9 (behind the mosque). the house is a rented house occupied by 6 person. my gf took the upstairs smallest room. the situation is like this.
my gf left for work bout 12noon yesterday 14/7/06. she was the last one who got out of the house. it was like any other normal day. locked the door and she went on her way.then when she came back from work, to her suprise her roomate told her the house has been broken into. individual rooms are normally locked. her roomate told her that they came home to find the room door all opened up and the room are literally turn upside down. wut suprise them is not how messy or how extensive the damage is but is HOW THEY CAME IN. the front door is always locked n no force entry is found. the back door was locked as well. so... the only way was the top. YES, they came in from the roof. i suspect the time for the ordeal was bout 8pm+. they cant get to the roof during the day while everyone was wide awake n no darkness for cover. so the odds are they came in 8pm+. took out 2 slabs of tile from the roof, came down n open up the water tank maintenance roof cover (the one which is situated in all homes where u can push open a lid n climb up to clean the water resource tank). their dirty footprint is all over the wall. can even see how they position their feet prior to their decending. they got down from there but the doors to all the rooms were locked, i suspect they climb back up (i suspect is a "they"), n crack open the soft ceiling above every room, jumped in, ransacked every corner and cabinets and repeated it back to other rooms. my gf total loss was cash worth RM800. she collect alot of 50cent coins. bout RM500 of it. all gone. and some RM50 notes. the master bedroom has the most losses. hp/jewelry/cash worth bout RM2k+. electronics was left untouched. PS2, tv's, hifi's all still intact. lodge a police report as well. the sarjan say its a common case and he even suspect its an inside thing. oh well... to those who rent rooms in USJ area, pls keep ur passports and other valueble belongings else where. cash n jewerly is small things but passports, bank books, FD certs and etc are a real pain in the ass if lost.

i suspect the house has been marked, as it is a rented place, no alarm system, n nobody was at home that time. we have a very routine schedule. so i guess it was sheer bad luck got marked. alot of ppl have security gadgets back n front, but i think we are missing the security on top. thank god that time everyone was out of the house, cause 5 of 6 roomates are females. dont even wanna think wut will happen if one of the roomate was inside the house when break in. so i urge u readers to "remember the security on top as well as front n back." theives is getting bolder n bolder these days so we need to make sure that we have the upper hand.
thanks for reading.
