Hi All,
I am a graduate who is currently doing my master degree in Psychology. In this period of time I found very few psychologists and counselors in Malaysia. Hence I intend to union all the psychologists and counselors in Malaysia, to further discuss how psychology, counseling and consultation could bring better life style in Malaysia.
If you are a student who is majoring in psychology or counseling, or you are a psychology professional, and if you happen to have the same interest as mine, please email me at nicktcy@usermail.com or drop me a msg here.
=)

glad to hear that you are interesting in improving the mental health in malaysia.
i think there is a malaysian mental health association, where most psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors are members...you can try there.

I don't believe a postgrad student in Psychology does not know there already exist an association for mental health. Perhaps this fellow spends too much time in the library and does not know a real world exists out there.

Hi Kwchang,
Yes you are right. I knew there is an association and of course.
My focus is on industrial psychology, which is different from the mental health or psychiatry. Nice meeting you kwchang and tbearer. =) I hope I can still posting message here.
Note: Psychology has different areas, such as clinical, industrial, cognitive, evolution, managerial, occupational, counseling, education, children, social, personality, health, forensic, research, physiological, experimental and etc. Each specialization is different and it based on the interests of others. Not all the psychologists are interested in mental health or counseling.

Welcome, Nick, to our Forum
However, I did read and also re-read your first post. You said you "intend to union all the psychologists and counselors in Malaysia," ... where did you say anything about industrial psychology? As far as my limited English is concerned, what you said in post #1 was similar to saying that you want to form a medical association but forgot to say which branch of specialisation.
Good luck on your quest.
