May I suggest we impose a condition that if a query is being made and if response is not forthcoming after a lapse of 5 days, that post will be locked. This is to ensure that the offeror/seller is serious in attending to offerees' request for more information or clarification. The problem is how to know if response is forthcoming when the offeror and the offeree is communicating via PM or email? But if no one posts queries, then we leave it to die a natural death.

It is a common courtesy for a seller to update the thread once an item is sold so people don't hunt u down just to find the items no longer available. :p

If it is possible for the thread starter to close the thread, even better.

Or should all idle threads without new posting in the last 14 (or 30) days be closed automatically by the mod? If the seller is keen to continue advertising then he/she needs to bump it up b4 expiry.
