Cheap stay in Singapore or JB

I'm going to Singapore next month. am looking for anyplace thats cheap to stay(about sg$20 or less per day) as im on a budget. anyone have stayed in such places before? would love to hear your experiences. thanks!

If you are on a tight budget you better stay at JB, if for few days but i hear you can get cheap hotels In Geylang if you dont mind the red light and shaddy enviroment,other than Geylang there could be other places too.

In Little India or Chinatown you can find many dorm beds for SGD20 or so...

I wonder if there are rooms available at the Universities....or church hostels....
