Err...one of the topics of last night's TT session...gave rise to this question...to find how many of the regular forumers here prefer...the coke or pepsi?

Ahem...Orchi has been a traditional coke drinker...but ever since they came up with that lousy tasting vanilla coke...Orchi develops a taste for pepsi pulok...:rolleyes:

Coke for me too. But I find it very addictive especially like DatinLawa said, lots of ice make it totally irresistible.

Me for one prefers the vanilla coke to the usual frizzy coke. Cos I like the A&W's rootbeer float. But I'd rather have sarsi, my dad's favourite. Tho' very minimal. :)

I'm definitely a Coke drinker. Used to be addicted to it. Since I don't drink coffee, coke used to be my morning caffeine. I had to take a glass with ice every morning especially when I'm doing the 7am shift! Coke was also my panadol cos I used to take them for my headaches. Anyway, I am proud to say I'm cured of my Coke addiction but I still have an occasionally glass or two when I'm working mornings :)

Mon. I remember those sweets. I think you can still find them in shops ;)

Prefer Coke or better still Vanilla Coke. Pepsi gave that acidic taste to the teeth. Vanilla coke would be better cos less gassy and it tasted like root beer or ice-cream float.

Been coke lover since day 1. During younger days used to drink 10 bottle of coke in one go!!!...ya yah....I know its crazy but when you are a teenager, u just dont think of the consequences that much :)

I have tried the pepsi/coke challenge couple of time in US….since my tongue is so used to coke, I was able to differentiate pepsi. Pepsi is just too sweet for me….

I dont think it would work now...but the legend might have some truth to it...since initially coke was designed to a medicine! Just google and you would find more on its history....why people do take it for headache, stomach upset, etc

My taste:-

1. I prefer coke during daytime. Because it contain caffeine, and can keep me awake. During futsal tournament (whole day from 9 to 5), my food intake is only :- coke & banana. It gives me energy and keep's me going.

2. at night, because i'm highly sensitive to caffeine, i will drink pepsi.

But if you ask opinion on taste, i would say Pepsi.

Err .. got this recipe from Kim Gary. Boiled coke and added wif some ginger in it, plus a slice of lemon / lime then down it girl. Hehe .. confirm cure. ;)

Coke is a very useful drink in so many ways.

I likes coke cold...fizzy or flat, it doesnt really matter...but it has to be cold.

I think the vanilla coke is nice occasionally, but the flavour is too synthetic for my taste. As for the citrus flavours, I think that pepsi twist outdid the lemon or lime diet coke, it is far better.

Pepsi gold tastes almost like regular pepsi but not quite

I went to singapore this past weekend and the first thing I did after getting down from the bus was go to 7-11 and buy a coke slurpee!!! :eek:

Best time to drink coke or pepsi is before a 2 hour workout or early in the am...but no more food afterwards...30g of sugar in one can :p That will give the energy for all activities.

Durian or for that matter any fruit could be taken with alcohol or coca-cola, as long as moderately taken. Too much alcohol would cause toxicity in your body, thus mixing with alcohol would only accelerate the process. One would find too much gas and bloated stomach.

u know wat they use to clean the chain? they soak it in coke overnight.
it comes out cleaner than any other washing solution they tried.

then my friend and i tried another experiment
we took his lil' bro's milk teeth (which just dropped out lah) and we dropped it into coke. every 24 hours we changed the coke, poured in a new can.

by the end of one week...the teeth had holes thru them

Just to confirm what Lynn said. If you go to market ... you buy those meat ... usually pork'lah ... (sorry to all muslim friends) ... buy the pork and you use coke to pour on it .. maggots will come out from there. That will show if the pork is fresh and still good or not. If not, then we'll be eating maggots.

Those days, we pour a can of coke into a glass and then we place a rusty nail in the glass of coke .. leave it there for 3-4 days ... you can see the rust is gone .. few more days .. the nail is gone! :eek: Anyhow, coke lovers still find that coke is so nice and don't mind all these ya.

it does not dissolve a tooth overnight, true. but it does causes holes to form on a milk teeth if left in coke for about 5 days. each day with a new can of coke. i have tried n tested it. maybe adult's teeth are different then?

Nowadays, be it coke or pepsi .. they import those cans are rather smaller and sort of make it like limited stuff .. thus, sellin' it in the market more expensive than normal coke n pepsi .. drink already we feel almighty is it? Not a softdrink person but was once very addicted to 'Diet Coke' instead. Didnt quite like it at the begining but the place where i worked only had diet coke available. At the end got very addicted to it and at least 3 cans a day for almost a year. Cut it off completely when i finally had no courage to look at the figure pointing on the weighing scale. I wonder what it means by Diet Coke....

Only take softdrink when having fast food which happen only occasionally and yes, burger, fries and coke indeed a perfect match.

Cant tell the difference between coke & pepsi, but perfer Vanilla Coke. Rootbeer and sarsi are a complete no no coz way too sweet for me, even serving it with lotta ice, still very sweet....

Diet coke is tasteless. I was curious why everyone at 1 point of time were drinkin' diet coke, so I try and I regret tryin' it ... haha .. I went back to Pepsi after that. Those days, they sell Pepsi in a small bottle, glass .. only cost $0.99 sen cheap eh?

When you chill the Pepsi in the fridge, take it out open it .. hear the sound of gas ... pour it in a glass wif lotsa ice or you can just drink it from the bottle and its soo satisfying .. aahhhhhh ... !!! :cool:

i think most of us have come across the 'imported' japanese Coke in hypermarkets? how does it taste? any difference?I remember trying those things in Japan...they stay colder than a regular can and the flavour is stronger also...

I dunno why...I think it is because they have the narrower mouth, so the liquid flows a little more thinly (over the mouth of the bottle) before it gets to your mouth..........
