Yes, we are not bothered about that because so long as alter-egos are not there to cause trouble, we don't care if anyone has a secret ID.

Phantoms are only problematic if it involves votes. Hence unless we conduct votes, numbers do not matter. But, by the way, you could say that one person could create a number of nicks to make it sound like a lot of people are against a particular decision of the moderator. However, I as the moderator, do not follow popular votes all the time. I make my decisions on the issue based on logical criteria.

I will listen to reason if you can present it in a proper manner. One recent example is the case of the rumours. Jose just came on to hit out at swee_ann. Jose's action blinded my view on the issue because my first instinct was to tackle the obvious abuse that Jose was inflicting on swee_ann. I did not see the issue until Joker made it clear in a calm and clear narrative. I then took action on swee_ann. However, I stand by my action to ban Jose because he was full of vitriol and we will not allow for abuse of the members online.

As for Orchi's suggestion of the TT, I agree to that minus the rotans. That is the power of TT sessions. These sessions allow sincere members to meet up and create bonding. I can assure you that having made the handshakes and eyeballed the members, one's perspective of the members will change for the better. That is mainly because there are no veils. Just like a handshake, it is a primeal show of sincerity whereby 2 antagonists stretch out their hands to reveal that they have no daggers hidden in their sleeves. (in case you all did not know, that was exactly the theory of how the 'handshake' came about)

I was told that I don't look so formidable by Penangkia after he met me. I met JayGee after I banned him and found him to be a very nice guy. I am hoping to meet GreenBug one day as well. And I will be happy to meet Jose as well as all the people I have banned. In this Forum, we seek friendship because we will need each other one day. This is not a battlefield my friends. May I ask of the members that we welcome all who are willing to live by our rules and who are willing to conduct themselves in a civil manner. As for the so called 'trolls', I am of the sincerest opinion that they have misunderstood the situation and resorted to harsh language. How can I make them see that any situation has 2 outcomes? The outcomes are not decided by a divine being, it is decided by our actions. We as logical human beings can make the best of the situation. Why did we not ? I admit I am not perfect. We don't need people trying to jump-start arguments either. If Chang is genuine about the Peace Process then let everybody refrain from posting inflammatory posts. As far as I am concerned, I do not engage people to administer this forum or to fight flame wars. I do not have another nick or multiple nicks to pretend like some of the trolls are doing. Anyone doing it with the intention to flame is a troll and they are neither mine and I don't care if they are yours. I do not care if they are yours because a troll is a troll. If you are the one gathering friends to troll our forum, then there is enough grounds for me to make a police report. I can always consult the authorities about this.

I am at peace with myself, I do not need to fight battles. I do not have possession of this website and I can pack up and leave whenever I desire. However, I make the point here that I am doing for my friend, the one person who started this Forum. I owe him that much for bringing me into the virtual world and I came here with an aim to learn and grow with the internet phenomenon that is happenning at our very doorsteps. During the heat of the flame wars, ANYONE can take the opportunity to cause rifts in the Forum. That is why my stand is I never put much weight on the nicks and the people behind those masks. When we try to identify the trolls, we get suckered to believe a troll to be a known nick on the Forum.

Trolls can sow seeds of uncertainty when they know we are uncertain.

The only way is to not take any heed of the trolls. The reason for some of us believeing the trolls (and thinking what the trolls want to make us think) is because some of us like rumours. Seed a rumour and you will succeed in planting a demon in our midsts.

That is one of the very FIRST lessons we should learn about the Internet - never to believe what is posted. Check it out yourselves. Get concrete references. Without such, we should ignore the ideologies posted because they have no substance.

Coming back to the trolls, remember NEVER to talk to them. Silence is the key. They will bait you and if you like to be a minnow chasing the baits, then you will be fried in the fisherman's cooking pot, pisang goreng included. Just message me about any trouble. I will look into it.
