There is a good offer at Carrefour, a charger and 4 AA size rechargeable batteries only RM39.90 and another surprise 2 AAA size batteries free (not sure it is rechargeable or not). I am currently using GP charger and rechargeable batteries and found it is not bad. Strongly Recommended especially the price is only RM39.90. I will go and get 1 set tomorrow.

Price is cheap but do take note of the power rating. I now go for those rated 2400 and more if possible. Lower ratings mean the batteries cannot hold the charge for long.

oh yes, the power rating is 1300 mAH only, currently I am using 1600mAH for my canon A70 and it quite lasting. But i think it still worth for the money.

I'm using the 2500mah energizer recharger battery, also from carrefour.
4 battery with 1 hour charger cost 178.
I fired 300 shoots with my flash gun and it still respond almost instantly. amazing performance.

Thanks for the info kwgoh
Probably for 600 or 700mh. If you are using it for Digital Camera, use those 1600-2500mh ones.... The camera drains the battery very fast :D
I got 8 1600ones for over 2 years... still working fine.

I tried GP some time ago, and didnt quiet like it...I'm assuming their quality control is bad....The problem I faced was leakage from the battery and the battery after some months of use...it melts...thus stopped using them...just my experience though...

Well, I didnt have that leaking problem :D
But, there are many rechargeable batteries in the market. Find one that fits your budget. :)

I too have used the GP 1600mAh. After about 1 year (didn't keep track of how many timers recharged) they just didin't hold the charge.
Now I'm using Sony 2500mAh since late Jan (just before CNY). So far so good.
Bought mine from Sony outlet in The Curve. Becareful as I've heard there's Sony pirated batts, esp those selling on the net.

Yep!..Beware! Sanyo & Sony fake batteries have been exposed!
Can't be too trusting these days when it comes from China.
