"I'm proud of who I am, and I'm here right now to prove it," the legendary webslinger tells a press conference called in New York's Times Square, before pulling off his mask and standing before the massed ranks of reporters as newspaper photographer Peter Parker.

"Any questions?" Parker asks in the final panel of the issue, amid a barrage of
camera flashes.

Ooo Spidey the hero. :p But why after all those years protecting his true identity? I guess he gave in to the pressure? I just hope they find a good storyline to compensate it. :)

Everyone has a mask or two in real life. Have anyone thought about THEIR own masks?

Spiderman did it to show the face of innocence, i think? But how many of us are still keeping various masks? To protect our loved ones? To protect our secrets? To protect marriages? To protect our a$$? n Etc. :D

I tot his friend Harry unmasked him in the movie, Spiderman 2. I always knew it was Tobey Maguire...
