A couple of days ago till today, when I start my pc, this program 'msnexplorer.exe' keeps popping up, asking whether we want to run it or not. My daughter shares the desktop with me and she (or even I) may have inadvertently downloaded this program file. What program is this, and is it safe to install? I use AVG anti-virus software, Zone Alarm firewall and Spybot search and rescue spyware; yeah all the free stuff. Thanks.

it could be a virus, namely Trojan.Win32.Agent.y. Do not run it.
make sure ur AVG and Spybot are up-to-date. Boot your PC in Safe Mode (Press F8 when PC is booting up). Then scan ur PC in Safe Mode.

Thanks, man. Problem solved. You're right, it was a Trojan virus.

My suggest to use Avast antivirus (www.avast.com) and Ad-aware spyware removal (www.lavasoft.de). Both of them provide FREE version.

note: Avast's "web shield" protection is conflict with ZA, choose custome installation and un-tick web shield during setup.

However, ZA always popping-up a lot of "warning" message and those need some basic technical knowledge to handle it either you allow or deny its access.

Always download programs from the "original" website and never run/open unknown program or doc.
