Braces - Pls recommend good orthodontic

Hi all,

Am new in the forum and newly shifted to Putra Heights, nearby USJ. Need help from u ppl to recommend me a good orthodontic because I want to go for braces. Preferably, let me know the estimated pricing too (is it too much to ask for??) :p

My son's was done by Dr Nora at USJ 9 (opposite OCBC: above Penang Village). Used to cost about RM 7000 in total. You pay 50% up front and then RM 200 every visit till the total is paid up, then FOC. Takes 6-12 months to complete.

From what I know from a friend, it costs around RM5k in total, need to pay RM200 every visit and takes 18-24mths to complete.

That is just for the orthodontic treatment itself (I think it was RM 5500 in 2003). Extras are:

other dental treatment needed (fillings, extractions - can be done by someone else)
special toothbrush
spare retainer after completion of treatment
others that you will discover as you go along.

The total duration of treatment depends on how much need to be done.
