Quoting Club147Subang Jaya <ss14nwatch@gmail.com>:

Dear friends

Good morning.

When we started off on our patrols last night, our neighbour Zalina at 7C had just come home and related to us that her cousin who stays at SS18 (near the field across from Mamak Bistro) had just been mugged at around 10pm.

Apparently her cousin had just come home and was along the street when 2 motorcycles blocked her off and tried to snatch her handbag. They were armed with knives. When she resisted, they took out a chopper and swung at her threateningly. They then pushed her to the ground.
She lost valuables and looked pretty shaken up when we saw her. She described the muggers as Indian youths (4 of them) and were riding the small 120cc bikes.

Please be mindful of motorcycles in the neighbourhood and if you sense you are being followed or targetted, do not get out of your car. Press on your horn to attract attention.
Take care --

We need a person like the late Charles Bronson of "Death Wish" to handle them. The trouble is there is no such character in the SJ police force unlike the days of KUlasingam who takes on Botak Chin .I saw him taking on a gang of robbers 'live' in paramount garden in the seventies.
Today we hear of the perak incident where they cohorts with robbers to rob. I hope it is isolated.

My own opinion...If crime like this happen right in front of me...I might just accidently & blurrily RAM the crooks down with car, bike or even a Waste Bin!

Better i blur blur blur get them, than for them to threaten to my female family members one day, cos we at SJ seemingly want to wait for the cop to do everything.

If u accidently RAM THEM please call me and I will go check to see if the crooks are ok or do they need a taxi to go to the hospital in Port Dickson.

Your friend should be smart enuff to jot down the motorbike number plates (8am you say?), colour of bike, jacket worn by rider, helmet colour...police can't do anything bcos of so many reasions (good & bad). But thats another story.

Get your friend to jot down the suspicious bike number and shd a crime happened right in front of the house, assist the victim and then provide the cop with the numbers (as suspicious bikes.)

I don't understand why crime is being soooooooo rampant in Subang/USJ these days.

The other day - in broad daylight, my husband was helping a customer load her car. The customer was getting into her car and her daughter waited for my husband to load the car. Whilst my husband was loading the car, two guys on a motorcycle rode pass and tried to snatch the daughter's bag. They failed to get the bag but she fell down and hurt herself pretty badly. By the time my husband turned around, they were long gone. The girl was only 15. Sigh....

If you need to whack that good 4 nothing fellow, you must know how to without being implicated.

I was living in a urban kampung in Penang and surprisingly the crime rate was practically zero. The argument is this. Those notorious gangsters in the kampong would not mess us up for fear that we might recognise them. Those from outside have no balls not that they were eunuchs but rather too afraid to intrude into my kampung for fear that they might not get out alive. There was a case where a sinkeh came in to cari makan one night. One scream itself brought out the Charles Bronsons in my kampung all hungry for a piece of action. One whack from each of us finally landed him on the ground many times over. Then, we called the police. When they came on site, they even commented that we did a better job than them but with one glaring mistake. So began the lesson "How to whack like a police Module 101." They then shared with us their secret. "Lain kali, jike mahu pukul sampai dia, pastikan you hantam dia dari satu arah. Masa you buat report, you kata dia larikan diri dan terjatuh dan cederakan diri di depan ATAU di belakang. Sekarang saya mana boleh percaya dia jatuh dan menghadapi kecederaan di depan DAN di belakang juga. Mana boleh?"

Well, hear it from the expert.

Ya... this is so true... just recently, my colleague wife lost her Kembara - parked just nearby Baskin' Robbins in Taipan ( in broad daylight! ) and nobody saw what happened! I too, lost my Avanza there... and according to the Police in USJ8 - it happens so frequently in Taipan, as anywhere else in USJ/SJ ! They know about it but prefer/rather not to do anything except sit on their butt in the station to wait for victims to make police reports...

Anyone else lost their vehicle in Taipan, got robbed/mugged in Taipan... or elsewhere in USJ/SJ?

a few years back my brother in law witnessed a snatch theft case in taipan. the thieves drove up in a silver perdana and snatched the handbag off a lady. when he went to the police station to assist in the report, maybe in a slip of tongue, the officer mentioned about the silver perdana in the case. this was before the report was made and any mention of what vehicle was involved in the case to the officer. of course it was puzzling how the officer came to know this information before hand or perhaps the same vehicle has been involved in such a case several times. if that is the case, why was the vehicle not investigated since the police know the registration number.
we cannot discount the fact that sometimes the criminals pay the police officers not to patrol a certain area at a particular time so that they can do their stuffs because i know these things happen. don't ask me how i know

If you are in your car, run them over.

But the problem is, it would get messy if those robbers die. Courts, revenge, etc. From what I know, the police will detain the driver for attempted man slaughter if the muggers know someone from the police station.

One of my friend's car was knocked by another car once and he took photograph of the accident. Guess what the policeman accussed my friend of? The policeman accussed my friend of "knocking" the other car. Knowing very well that my friend has photographs, and yet the person who knockked my friend's car dared to report to the police the other way round!

In short, the results of corruption is harm on the general public.

How sad.!

with due respect to YAB lato tupai...at least post about the mugger-rings (not marjerines ya!)...then only add bout the police action...etc..dun la corruption..yab now so hurt.. :)

back to topic..USJ 1 muggers oso got a few tactics:

1) if u have auto-gate. they will wait behind tong sampah(usj 1 houses, beside the gate is a big blocky tong sampah design, hide at the side cant see the mugger) ..once the gate open..then after u park ur car liao..

the muggers will spring into action..literally by jumping at u while u opening ur front door..kepit u wif knife n take wallet/valuables..then ask for ur keys n auto gate remote control..

2) if u have manual gate. this happened to my ex-neighbour few doors away..they will come in a motor..then pass by ur car while u stop to open ur gate...after u come down n if u din off ur car engine..then jia lat..the mugger will mug ur car with anything/anyone inside..my ex-neighbour got her kids back at kesas highway 1st toll..both around 3-5 yrs old..

Street smarts...what about street smarts

*walk tall...dont look like a victim or you can be victimized

*keep your eyes roving and look at everyone...learn how to size people up in an instant...learn how to intimidate people with one glance

*dont let yourself get distracted...ignore the handphone

*dont be predictable...use different routes, know your neighbourhood, dont hide in the car all the time.

*dont carry too much stuff...even handbag is too much in some places

*carry your keys in hand before you leave a shop...so you spend less time fumbling for keys at the car...can also use to scratch if necessary

*attach a hard small metal club to your key ring....makes a huge difference when you whack someone's knuckles or poke someone's eyes :p

*change your autogate to highspeed version :p maybe you can catch them as they try to rush in :p

*learn to shout like thunder...kiai is a part of karate for a reason!

*Carry an asp if you can find one :p (it is illegal tho)...my alternative...a wooden handled collapsable umbrella

*last and most lethal option, not for the faint of heart...learn how to throw a knife properly

Cheers, m
