Streamyx line

1.whenever have incoming call...the line will timed out..if it rings too long, it will disconnect.
2.when downloading torrent files, i only can download one at a time, if more than one at a time, my line will disconnect after some time.

Does anyone know what with my streamyx line? i used to complain many times, they just send the technician and check here and there, they tell me no problem.

Are you using a splitter at the main phone junction box? This will split (filter) data and voice.

3. have u tried ur connection with another pc or laptop?
4. have u tried other torrent software?
5. how often does that happen?
6. do u have an alarm system at home?

i think mayb its those fax or phones..
i have 2 sockets sharing 1 line...1 phone up(no splitter)..1 phone down (split wid streamyx line)..
usually it will coz the line unable to connect..or disconnect (dc) problem occurs..then i will unplug the top phone...n everything will be fine..

u try leaving only the line for streamyx..then slowly add back the phone/fax 1 by 1 until dc problem happens -->mayb other sockets need splitters as well..

if u have alarm at home..the symptom would be sometimes, suddenly ur alarm will beep or sound like mad..as the line from ur alarm do not have a splitter..

sometimes it because of bad weather...i dont know why but it does effect the streamyx performence :(

From the way the tecnicians reply you, sometime, they too don't know what's going on.

I suggest install the splitter at "main socket", then follow by phone/fax.
