I'm getting myself ready and fit for a climb in Mount Kinabalu. Can I know in is there any hilly jogging place? Or a hill for joggers? I like Batu Caves but a bit too far from Klang.

For MK, Klang reservoir is more than enough to train your stamina and fitness…that’s where I trained for Gunng Tahan…long ago. Make sure you carry your backpack when you train…that’s all

All the Best! :)

Now, where is Klang reservoir? Any map? You must be crazy. I've thought of hiring a back packer. Better still, piggy back me up to the mountain. lol.

Yes, go ahead and hire a porter. They will help you carry your bag all the way. But most importantly, they are train not to leave you out of sight. But piggy back? cannot lah!

What about the hill park in Andalas, its small hill but do more round lah

Opposite the Klang hospital main entance, there is a road, go right to the end, you reach a T-junction, turn left and about 1 km you will see the little hill park.

Hope it help :)

hmm.... how bout alternatin between d followin 4 ur trainin:
1. klang gatez dam, tmn melawati (d rockclimbin iz gud 4 d last part of d mt kk climb 2 d peak whc iz on granite)
2. batu caves (d stepz r gud 4 d 1st part of d mt kk climb, itz basically roughly hewn stepz all d way up)
3. bukit jalil park (oso stepz)
4. gasing hill, pj - d actual tarmac road uphill (gud 4 buildin stamina)
5. hutan rimba bukit gasing, pj - d jungle (take d difficult 1 hr trek... iz like a micromini version of d 1st part of mt kk... climbin uphill n downhill i mean... )
6. bukit kiara, taman tun - d tarmac road (gud 4 startin cuz itz quite mild)
7. frim, kepong - jungle trek or tarmac road (oso gud 4 startin cuz again itz quite mild cept 4 d climb 2 d suspension bridge)

hmm... cn oso try d stepz machine n threadmillz (set 2 level 7 or highest gradient) at d gym if u prefer.... ;)

How about Bukit Gasing PJ? Anyway, I dont think you need a hill to train.
