Hello.

I just wanted to comment on the rather bad road patching at the Jln / Tujuan SS19 trafic lights.

The patching is so bad that its now become road humps to damage your cars suspension.

Does anyone else have this jarring feeling everytime you pass the lights? Its on BOTH sides of the road. I think they dug into the ground to lay some cabling for the lights. And now there are humps after they refilled it.

It's a speed bump to slow the traffic. :D Cars are travelling too fast on the residential roads. So speed bumps are added to the road to slow you down. :D

Perhaps not intentional bumps. Basically, when a trench is refilled, there willbe subsidence when traffic eventually compact the rubble underneath. Hence they overfill with the thought that it will eventually get rolled lower. If there were no overfill, we'd end up with a scar that is lower than road level - which is equally bad becoz a reverse bump will damage the suspension as well. At least a flattened bump will give a smoother ride.

Someone did mention in another thread that why only our local contractors leave these "speed bumbs" when the contractors of our neighbours do not?

At the end of the day, it was shoddy work. Other areas could be a smoother re-work. It doesnt necessary need to be a bump. Contractors need to be more responsible and do a better job. If all re-work or re-lay roads were to be bump, we shall see everyone in USJ and Subang getting 4 wheel drives just like in Sabah and Sarawak.

Try driving along all the side roads of Tujuan. Then you tell me.

Yesterday, they patched up this hole when it got bigger after the last few days downpour but the hump is still there to jolt you up in case you fell alseep crawling through this traffic jam.

heard MPSJ is trying to do car mechanics a favour by destroying our suspensions.
