Hello all,

Wasn't sure if this was already published here, in any case, this is very good information for citizens.

KUALA LUMPUR, Thurs: More than 60 lawyers and representatives from NGOs, the US Embassy and the press gathered at the Bar Council Auditorium this morning, all for a very noble cause, to witness the birth of a Red Book or
Buku Merah known as "Polis Dan Hak-Hak Asas Anda".

It is unfortunate that most people are completely ignorant of their rights. They do not have the slightest idea of what the police can or cannot do." ...Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz

when you are arrested, it does not matter what the police can do or cannot do - they just do it and you are the one who suffer. Yes, you can seek legal redress later in court but you are already done with in the police jail. So there.
