View Full Version : USJ Funniest Animals (with love)
Animals are funny aren't they. Yes indeed they are. Do you have an amusing story to share about your beloved pets? Something which they do to make you chuckle and love them so? You could post their pics if you wish to and share them with all of us.
My first doggie. Lulu. 6 years old. She's a miniature pinscher. Her pic now. Stories later. :)

My cat loves to pass gas, veryyy d smelly!! Her name is Nanya, a black female domestic cat. Picked her up from a petrol station! Kekeke, consulted vet, vet told that nothing could be done. Hahaha, so got to live with it. But again, tragedy happened 10 months back. Not going to post anymore sad stories.... :p
Applepie! Come on. Don't mind any kinda stories at all. Be it happy or sad, it's only about how much we love our pets. That's what matters most. If and when you feel comfortable, please do share ya. :)

follow the owner's example issit? :D
Anyway when i was small, around 5 years old, i used to go to this baby sitter's house.. there was a dog there named peanut (funny name i know). Peanut was a shih tzu.. FAT shih tzu... i think he weighed about 6/7 kgs i think... so being that fat, he loved to laze around.. the best part was when we lazed together on the marble floor since it was cool during the day... :) it was a smart dog too, if it didn't like what you were doing, it would bite you and then growl... but the bite wouldn't break the skin... i miss holding him as a bolster :( .. ah well i guess he's in dog heaven now....
Ya..you'll know when you smell something like fart but it's not you and there's no one else around :p
My doggie Lulu has a very funny behaviour. Sunday afternoons are her bathing times and she hates water be it cold or warm. She would start behaving very strangely in the morning like shivering, hiding under the covers, sometimes could pretend to be queasy and look sickly (with her little tail down etc). I know she pretends becos she would whack up all her special sunday can food in a jiff :p
She would behave like that every Sunday, until after her bath does she resort back to her normal self. Right after bath, she would growl and bite the shampoo and pail. She would be very furious and I'd pretend to be so scared. Heehee..And sometimes, she would try to bite my toes. :D
My Chester hates baths too! When its bath time during Sat/Sun afternoon, he will be very 'unresponsive', and will ignore me. When I want to bring him to the front gate for bathing, he will be like a sack of potatoes - his body will be limp and he will lie down refusing to get up. Have to draaaaggg him to the front. But after mandi.....our friend will be suddenly full of beans.
Hee...sometimes I would tease her by whispering to her her most dreaded word "babbab" meaning take bath. All 'system down' after that. :D
In, have you ever imagined being in Chester's shoes? What goes thru his mind when you are pulling him for his bath? These fellows must be hoping and praying that we run out of water or something! :D

Morning Mon,
Ermm, dont mind sharing but again, i dont know how to cut the long story short! Kekeke..... Actually i had it in my blog posted months back..... :D Well, this thread is for funny story telling but not a sad one.... So dont wanna spoil mood....
Apple. It's totally fine by me. We have to have a balance here so sad is good at times. As long as it is told with love.. Hee.... :)

 'Chewie' is a shih tzu, one fine day I decided to take her for a walk with her best friend 'Crystal' a cocker spaniel. Leash both of them and started my walk... 'Crystal' was too excited pulling me forward and the next, I realised 'Chewie' was on the opposite way, she sat on the floor, refused to get up so I had to pull her (sliding) and she continue to ignored me. She must have made up her mind ' The world out there is NOT for her!!!'

haha i just love watching my dog entertaining himself in the garden.. sometimes he just takes those mini flowerpots (like those that those small cactus come in) and toss it up into the air and catch it.. over n over n over n over again.. hahaha it's kinda funny
and my dog is a natural beggar ;p

Penny, thanks for sharing your video with us. Your doggie is a true charmer!
Scolded my doggie for weeing on the floor. She had the saddest eyes and went hiding under my piano.. I continued my work and she quietly came to gently scratch me on my toes. I've never felt so bad in my whole life.
Have you ever consider what our pets must think of us? I mean, here we come back from Giant/Carrefour with the most amazing haul..chicken, fish, half a cow. They must think we're the greatest hunters on earth! :p
In some countries like Japan, men's best friends are dogs. You can even rent a dog, for love and companionship. Am watching channel 51 Animal Planet (Tokyo Dogs) interesting :)
ps: It’s important to realize that owning a pet isn’t for everyone. Pets do come with additional work and responsibility, which can bring its own stress. However, for most people, the benefits of having a pet outweigh the drawbacks. Having a furry best friend can reduce stress in your life and bring you support when times get tough.

YUp, raising a pet is like well.. referring to a well-known "Quote".. is like raising a child.. Stress can be caused by the struggle to tolerate pets' unexpected behaviour, to train it, and of course to worry about the expenses and the health care for pets..
Ya Mon, renting a dog can be a good idea, as u can get Love and Affection from him/her.. *minus* the stress of actually taking responsibility to raise it mm... ;)
Hi again. Tonight my doggie minpin learnt the fastest trick of all. Getting into the new 'carry' bag I just bought for her. At first she was terrified but I kinda forced her in but kept telling her her 2 favourite words "kai-kai", meaning go out. Then I brought her out on foot with her in the bag, just outside the house and back in. And she had no qualms getting into the little bag herself after that. So easy. Hehe...
Have you ever looked into your pet's eyes and talk your heart out? Try it. No matter how bad your day has been, I'm sure when your pet looks right back at you and 'seems' to be paying attention, all your troubles will go away.
Yes, mine listens. But sometimes half awake. Hehee...:p
I once had a really bad day and when I came home, my dogs just sat by my side quietly as oppose to jumping frantically like they normally do.
Thanks jtl. I believe our dogs can sense our emotions but to what level I don't know. There were many a times I felt like a total wreck and totally out of my usual character and my dogs would seem to tell me "I know but I'll be here for you anyways.."
I believe they can read the look on our faces or listen to the tone in our voices, just like how they would react aggressively towards suspicious characters and unwelcomed guests.
Something else to share...I guess we cannot avoid stress and worries altogether and our dogs are of no different. They too have stress and for eg, (my minpin) would bark and shiver and go into isolation for eg, when someone who does not seem friendly is in the house. She would not know what to do and would sometimes end up scratching me or worst, run upstairs to sit at the bedroom door waiting to be let in to sleep it off. :p
I have learnt to appreciate my dog's point of view towards a stranger. Hehe...and she is seldom wrong.

Ha Ha Ha Ha.... :D Lu Lau...I love this pic of Shadow!
Mon, Lu Lau is the angel who adopted 5 of my cats when they were being trapped and killed. Shadow is one of them. And I am so glad he has now bonded so well with Lu Lau. Practically thinks he is King of the house and taken over a new king-size bed. hee hee
Lu Lau is one of the most amazing women I have ever known. Rescues and rehomes many abused & stray animals.
Yes I'm sure she is Vixey :D I can see that she is a person full of energy and passion for animals. I like her very much already! hehe...
Lu Lau, when I'm back to Melaka, I bring my lazy dog to meet up with your lazy cat ok? :p
Thanks for being there for the helpless animals Lu Lau, God bless you! See ya around. :)

Sure lah!! you are welcome anytime!!
Btw, Lulu is so cute in that dress!!
Yes thanks Lu Lau for the welcome. Will keep in touch. :p I've never been happier, on every level, having LuLu the bossy lil dog in my life. You know, she is really very cute and I sometimes wonder what goes on in that little mind of hers. She's like a small person, who thinks she's some kinda rottweiler or something. Her favourite toy, toilet rolls. :D
Lu Lau, how about sharing some amusing stories about your beloved pets? Oh ya, I'm from Melaka. I have 2 more dogs there, a husky and a lab. :)
Wah..... so many people from Malacca here. I also from Malacca. :)

Panda is a female puppy.
She once jumped to my car's bonet then to the car's roof
She loves to go into my car whenever I open the car door.
She also loves to chase the jet of water that is being sprayed from the rubber hose.
Oh, besides eating sugar cane (she fell the sugar cane herself by gnawing at it), she also loves baby tomatos after I introduced it to her when she was a puppy. Ha Ha. Now, there isn't a single baby tomato plant in my house because she knows how to pluck the baby tomato by herself. She would eat it even though it is green.
Maybe she was a panda in her previous life and reincarnated to be a dog now haha.......
Haha! So Panda is a high jumper like my minpin. She jumps so high at times I'm sometimes worried she might hurt herself and fall on her back! She would do that if she thinks I'd bring her out but nowadays, she would just go straight into the carry bag and just sit there and growl.
I used to feed my dogs tomatoes, but lately avoiding that altogether cos I've read somewhere, that tomatoes consist atropine, and it is found in the leaves and stems of tomato plants, more so in unriped green tomatoes, and atropine is pretty harmful to dogs...But the riped red ones are ok in small amount.

AIYA!!!
My panda plucks the tomatos herself. She plucks even the green ones.
Luckily I don't have anymore tomato plants.
Thanks for the info on atropine.
I just found out that atropine is ====
noun: a poisonous crystalline alkaloid extracted from the nightshade family; used as an antispasmodic and to dilate the eye pupil; also administered in large amounts as an antidote for organophosphate nerve agents or organophosphate insecticides
Source : http://www.onelook.com/?w=atropine&ls=a
I hope there is nothing wrong with eating sugar cane......
she sometimes gnaws at the sugar cane to extract the juice
Don't know about sugar canes tho. Err...if Panda doesn't vomit or show symptoms of diarrhea, I think it should be ok? Better to ask your vet about it hhtee.
My bigger dogs are big time chewers themselves. To avoid them chewing on plants and whatever, I get them bones from the pet shop. Latest pack of bones are Greenies. Can help in eliminating bad breath and clean their teeth. They just love it! Or I'd get them some natural rawhide bones. Works as well.

reason y i named my domain name bubblejack cuz i hav a dog named jackie and the other belongs to my gf's named bubble.Jackie is of spitz breed and he loves goin out to the field and wonder around.he may look like a stray but he's very loyal.every time i come home he'll know its me tho im still in the car and he'll happily wait for me outside the car door.Funny thing is,he's scared whenever i close the gate cuz he's afraid i'll lock him in and nvr let him out to play.so when he's out and i wanna feed him,he'll pick some food n run out of the gate(my gate is open most of the time,my mom gives tuitions) so i dun hav the time to lock him in..hehe...
bubble is a shih tzu.He likes my gf to feed him every meal but sometimes he does eat on his own, after a few fed to him by my gf:P He has strong sense of curiousity,he loves babies n other dogs..he hates flies and other flying bugs.he wont eat if there's a small fly flying around his bowl sometimes. He stays indoor and sleeps with my gf.MY gf adores him alot, once she had a huge fight with her mom cuz her mom didnt let her to keep bubble.luckily it's settled now..SHE's a huge animal lover and will nvr let any animal in her life suffer.
*we've been keeping 4 stray puppies in my house for about a month now n my mom is getting furious of it.i hope anyone whoz interestd to adopt a puppy plz kindly contact me at 0192263833 or u can email me at chamomilebluez@yahoo.com for further pictures.Plz give them a home!!!! poor puppies will not have a home if theres noone adopting them soon..plz plz plz help..thanks alot=/ !

I once gave Panda a HUGE RAW PIG BONE (uncooked with blood).
I hope that wouldn't turn her to a human attacker (craving for blood that is).
I feed my doggies dry foods most of the time, but I think even the most expensive, top quality dog foods be it bagged or canned, are still processed and dead kinda foods, no matter what 'best of nutrients' they have, and I've heard that they in fact, could be one of the factors causing diseases and sicknesses in dogs, or the whole animal kingdom for that matter, as most pet owners feed their pets with such convenient foods.
I feed my dogs home prepared foods whenever I can, but for chews, I'd still have to get them from the shops as I do not do marketing that often, but when I do, I'd get them chicken livers and meats, piggy bones but the huge ones (this is rare as my spitz is very unfriendly when she has bones and might bully my lab), some fresh vege and fruits etc and mix them all up after cooking the meat, sometimes stir-fried with a little margarine or just boiled with water. I would always add some powdery type vitamins and supplements into their foods and so far, they have been healthy and happy.
And my bad, I would sometimes get them beef burger kosong from McDonald's and share my french toasts with lots of eggs with them. Even char siew paus, but I would eat the insides first as they are salty. As for raw bones with blood, err...have never fed them any of that but I doubt that would make Panda into a blood thirsty dog, would it? I think should be ok la...:)

HELP!!!!!
Panda was injured yesterday. I hope my vet does not read USJ forum. He knows my dog's name.
Anyway, she got entangled in the metal chain (which I have changed to a flat nylon type now) and she struggled to break free. No one chained her up. She just went to the chain and entangled herself. Now, there is a tear at the leg area. I went to the vet. The vet recommended not to stitch it. Vet said skin is torn but no flesh affected so ok. But now, have to be very careful of flies. I am worried that the flies may lay maggots there.
The vet gave some sort of blue powder spray. I am supposed to spray it everyday. But Panda keeps licking the wound after spraying the blue powder.
Anyone here experienced dog wounds before ?
Please share....
*SO SAD*

get panda Elizabethan collar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabethan_collar) to prevent her licking the wound
That is a pretty bad wound. :( You must make sure to clean the wound thoroughly everyday and no hair falls or stick around that area as it might mat down some infection. The blue spray works but there is also another solution to clean before applying the blue spray. As for the licking, my vet told me it's fine as it's only natural and it might help in the healing process. Unless with stitches, you might want to use a collar on Panda. I see the wound must be very painful now, I think the vet must've given Panda some antibiotics as well?

get panda Elizabethan collar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabethan_collar) to prevent her licking the wound
thanks for the suggestion. my vet already gave us that. but panda is one of the hyper--active-est dog i have ever seen. she took out the collar. I am sending her to the vet again today to tighten the colar a bit.
I am concerned
a) is it ok if panda licked the blue color medicine ?
b) if panda is using the Elizabethan colar, I am afraid that flies may fly to her wound and she cannot do anything to "chase" the flies.
get panda Elizabethan collar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabethan_collar) to prevent her licking the wound
Correct, this one. Tried it on my dog once but very uncomfortable on her. That was to prevent her from licking her stitches and loosening it.

Painful ? I don't know if it is painful but she sure can jump into my car to go for a car ride. I took her Kai Kai (car ride) yesterday and I didn't even know she was wounded. When I sent her home, only I knew she was hurt.
yes, the vet gave some antibiotics.
The vet also gave some redish /orange-nish solution to apply before spraying the blue spray.
Oh ok that's good to hear. Panda is really something, my dog cries when she is in pain. Maybe she likes to manja la.
Anyway, I don't know if it's harmful to lick the blue spray so I'd suggest you start using the collar on Panda, for a couple of days at least, or else the vet wouldn't have given her the collar I think. As for the flies, I think perhaps you have to keep an eye on them or let Panda into the house while recuperating.
Hope that helps a bit.

went to vet. Vet said panda's wound is better. They cleaned it with some bloodish/orange-nish colour liquid and gave her a jab. They then put the Elizebertern Collar successfully.
back at home, my Shih Tsu still tries to hump her.
How irritating.
I have to raise my voice to chase away the Shih Tsu.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I gave Panda 3 eggs and a pint of milk last night. Hopefully she gets all the protein she needs. I am going to give 3 eggs and another pint of milk again to her later.

Here are photos of panda in Elizebethern Collar. She is active again today.
I was spraying a jet of water and she really wanted to chase it as usual. But I have to hold her body and calm her down so that she doesn't get too excited. She needs the rest she can get.
Her wound looks the same to me but my vet told me yesterday it is better. Anyways, I applied the medicine as instructed.

Yup, there is such a thing. It can be sprayed on shoes, tyres and wounds but if you have one at home, just check the label first to see if its safe. I am not sure if ALL the brands on the market is safe
hhtee

that's something new to me. I will check the label again.
I just don't wanna her to suffer. I can imagine salt on my wound when I cut myself last time.
Us the one that says :"Safe to spray on wounds"

Panda is better already.....
the wound has dried up......
every morning, I still clean the wound and spray the blue powder.
I still keep the Elizeberthen collar on.
The is a piece of skin dangling and the vet said to leave it alone as it will drop off by itself.....
I am feeling relieved now :)
in the first picture, you can see panda wagging her tail virgorously as though nothing happened to her
in the second picture, the wound seems to be drying up already.....
photos taken on 7th Nov
her last dosage of eggs and milk (my prescription) was last night. Instead of giving normal milk, I gave her banana flavoured milk...
Excellent news hhtee. Glad to know that Panda has recovered so well.
I just fed my doggies sausage buns from the bakery. My minpin hides food everywhere, and go for it when she feels like it. When I find it and pick it up, she'd bark at me, like scolding me you know. When I leave it alone, she'd hide it somewhere else. :)

yup.... my shih tsu is also like that (defensive over food).
Whenever he is eating, he would bark at me when I try to take his plastic bowl away from him.
have you noticed that dogs will dig and hide bones and in order to "cover" the bones with soil, they use their nose.....
My minpin sleeps with me. She uses her nose to force her way under the comforter every night, and she uses her nose to wake me up as well. When the 'urgency' becomes unbearable and she needs to go wee wee in the middle of the nite, she will scratch and run around like mad cos she knows I will surely wake up with all the noise she makes. After letting her out she will come up to the room again as I would normally leave the door opened. At times I forget, that's when the big hoohaa will start. She will wait outside the door, scratch a little, then wait again, and starts barking a little but starts off with the soft pathetic kinda barks. If I still do not open the door, her barks and scratching will become more intense. hehehe..
Not only that, she has pushed my hubby off the bed many times, cos you see, we try to give her more space and are very careful as to not end up sleeping on her and choking her but sometimes she very lebih lebih one. But it's kinda funny, the hubby is funny too as he falls off the bed and we find ourselves giggling back to sleep many times. Just can't be angry with her, my dog just doesn't give a care in the world who falls off the bed! :D

My lab is a sweetheart. :) She will never ever show aggression or bark whenever something is taken from her, be it food or toy. On the other hand, my spitz is totally on the contrary. She has even tried biting me once and I had to do the necessary and not spare the rod so to speak, and gave her a good whacking on her backside. That was the only time, tho she is still possesive at times but she will now allow me to take food away from her without showing me her teeth.
No need to mention my minpin, that lil dog is full of mischief when it comes to food. What can I say, she's just being herself. :D

I heard dogs are good swimmers :)
Wish there is a public area to bring the dogs for swimming :)
my sis's dog ( overseas ) loves swimming in the pool :)
Oh this we must ask Shirley (http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/member.php?userid=6039) . Shirley you around?
I believe she has brought her doggies swimming before, if I remember correctly, but I too am wondering where, and better still if it's in Subang Jaya. I think all dogs love swimming? Labradors especially cos mine just loves to play with water while bathing. Don't know if my other 2 dogs can swim or hate me if I threw them into a pool as they dislike bathing so much. I think that small dog of mine cannot la, she just likes to sleep and eat and sleep. :)

Labs are natural born swimmers. They love the water. My doggie is a mix of spitz and German Shepherd. (yes...i wonder too how her parents got jiggy with it! :D )
Sadly don't know of any place to take them swimming here in this country.
oooooooo vixey...nice avatar. :D
Anyway, I guess the doggies have ways unknown to men on how to...ahem.
I suspect my spitz to be a mixed too. When she was a baby, she looked exactly like a purebred japanese spitz, with blue eyes and furry whites and her tummy was so big it touches the ground. :p She was bullied max by my minpin, as the latter came first, a year older. As my spitz grew, she bullied my minpin back, and there would be havoc in the house, you can see 2 little doggies running around like mad things, the white chasing the black. :D

My dog farted right into my face. I seriously wanted to die. :p
Haha!! :p very very cute. So we can arrive at this, doggies have no manners in regards to farting. lol!

they say dogs resemble their owners.... har har har
I have to admit, when there's no one around, I fart.... I admitted....
Vixey, you ?
errr....sometimes dog owners like to cover up for their dogs.
Or get their dogs to cover up for them. :D

I am away for a few days and I have no chance to check on Panda.
I heard from my dad that Panda is getting well already.
Panda really resembles me. She is very naughthy and so was I. She got hurt and scarred on her right hind leg due to her naughtiness running round a metal chain. For me, I got hurt and scarred on the opposite in an accident (due to my naughtiness).
She loves to dig holes. I loved to burn my mom's brooms haha
Thanks for sharing!
It has been a while since I last brought my lil doggie out kai kai. Was just cleaning her kai kai bag and put it on the floor. She jumped right in straightaway and sat there. So pathetic. Had no choice, had to bring her out for a quick walk around the block. =)

Compared to the first day ( http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/attachment.php?attachmentid=778 ), Panda's wound's getting "smaller" now i.e. closing slowly. The wound also seems to be drying up.
The dangling piece of skin seems to have disappeared
Maybe it dropped off like the Vet said.
I was away for a few days and my family members took care of panda.

A lady never admits her farts...but since I am no "lady"...hehe...so YES! I do fart..but only when no one is around....
:D
And certainly not into anyone's face!
Btw I have noticed the cutest thing in one of the back alley cats in my area. There is a white tom cat, who is actually like a surrogate mom to a couple of kittens!
He takes care of them..leads them to food...calls them for meals...lets them eat first..cleans them..and lets them snuggle in his arms when they sleep!
Its so amazing! I have never seen a tom cat so "maternal" before. Well, I had one cat, Shadow (who is now living with Lu Lau) who is like a nanny cat but even he was not as maternal as this white tom cat.
I think its just beautiful.

Very sorry about Panda. The wound looks really nasty though. Hope it heals soon and well.
:(
The wound is still reddish, hope it's not painful for Panda still. Yeah..hope it heals very soon.
Vixey, I ain't not too much of a lady myself :p so ok la I admit it only happens (as much as I can hold it)...when no one's around. :D
