View Full Version : Meat Loaf...any suggestions?

Did this simple meat loaf.

250gms Minced meat
1 large onion
2 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoon Lea& Perring( spelling?...) Sauce
1 egg (beaten)
3 eggs hard boil (shell removed)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
tomato sauce to taste

Mix all together except the hard boiled eggs.

Butter a 4" X 8" loaf tin and layer the base with 1/3 of the meat mix. Arrance the hardboil eggs along the center of the loaf and cover with the balance of the meat mixture.

Baked in a oven at 170 deg C for 1 hour or until the loaf leaves the side of the tin. Remove and it's ready to serve.

You can also remove from the tin, cover with mash potato and return to bake for another 20 ~ 30 minutes.

YIKES!!! just noticed...salt and pepper should be 1/4 teaspoon and not 1/2 as stated. soli for the typo.
