I misread the Condemned List. I woke up this morning and jumped into the shower. There was a trickle of water. I soaped myself with shampoo and body foam very liberally. Then I turned on the tap again and there was no water. I looked like a polar bear who has just been in a dive in the snow. Arggggggghhhhh. I have to use a vacuum cleaner to suck off all the foam. Now all I need is a power cut....

Ya. You are right. Now I am actually looking forward to the regular-as-clockwork thunderstorm which will sweep across USJ at 3.40 pm. I am going to be showering and singing in the rain. With rubber flip-flops on, of course, in case of lightning strikes.

Apparently, they cut the water supply WELL AHEAD of stated time of 8am. Wonder whether their engineering team or contractors are aware of the time announced.
Good thing my wife did not listen to my "can always fill up before 8am" advise last night.

The storm arrived late today, at 450 instead of the regular 3:40 pm.

Maybe it slept in 1hr as it is saturday? Right now the storm is demonstrating its storm repetoire: howling wind and sideways sheets of rain today.

Hope that doesnt incovenience your plans to shower. hehehe you may wish to warn your neighbours...assuming they can see out their windows

Cheers, m

hmm, my water in ss12 also cut today.

WATER or H20 is one precious thing that we all take for granted. I didn't read the papers... NO don't have the time to open it up and didn't know about the water cuts. My tanks is empty and I do hope that they restart the water as planned .... i'll be waiting until 10pm ..and hopefully they get it up and running.

don't listen to Syabas planning such as if they plan water cut on 18 Feb, 8:00 am - 10:00 pm.... fill your tub or all sort of container with water for drinking, cleaning or bath ,the minutes you get your news from the newspaper or syabas....

i encounter a very bad experience 3 years ago where i listen to what their plan and the water cut almost everyday.... n now be aware of those big pipping pile up at your resident area.... no notice and water cut for few days continuous....n you only get to see brown kopi "o" kou kou without having a chance to use it and wasting those water.... the next minutes when you are about to refill, water cut again....

i remember those time a water container cost RM50 n above for 100 Litre with a lid.... n i buy a few plastic garbage container RM15.90 with the same capacity - which i need a washable container at lowest price for every bath room... if you have an adult, expect 1 water container.... 5 adult - fill with 5 water container

as for storing drinking water, i suggest for those who like plastic to buy water dispenser from tupperware... 8L to 14 L (nothing will spoil but only the knob for water to flow out), or go hardware store to get stainless steel container.... don't try those water dispenser from hypermarket as only the knob for water to flow out will spoilt and no spare part for that unless you do diy with water tap...

i always fill up those container for "rainning day" cause it always happen in my area..... n i can't live without water for a day

the minutes when you hear water from direct main pipe filling your water tank, fill up as much as you can for the next day.

No water ? drive to KLIA and bath at their washroom. Now you know why they shift the airport from subang to sepang - too many people from subang taking free bath at terminal 1,2 and 3

19-02-2006, 01:43 AM
sure hope the water won't be cut today (19th)... have not turned on my main pipe yet as the water was still so murky... don't wanna clog up my water filter!!

Azmin said he has only being a MB for 9 months, so 9 months is too short a time to find a solution? 9 months -you can have a new born!
What is his benchmark? 6 years? That's what he compared to ex-MB!

At time like this, I wish we have a minority race MB who is capable than having this Azmin (if he is the best they could find among the majority race and obviously not a solution orientated person). I wonder, to the majority race, is race more important than daily life and economy?
