the owner looks fierce and cute. i went and try out their fettucine today after my friend persuasion. damn syok man. it damn nice lah with only rm12.90, so bif plate, the cheese so damn nice.

their special is dory fish with mash potato. man should try. heard tat the chef is from italy. tats why all his foods are original. u know his pizza is not like pizza hut one, very powdery, but man, my friend a small gal can finish whole becoz she say the more u eat, the more u wanna eat.... bah

i will highly recommend this bistro to anyone who wanna try hotel cuisine with normal restaurant price lol. also their strawberry smooties, and also their flourless chocolate cake, damn yummu lah. go try then u know.

i got very very strict taste on food lo, coz i got very sensitive stomach...

btw i din eat all the foods lah, crazy meh haha.... we all share the foods, so we get to know the taste. i dun wanna go at first coz scared of diarrhea, but i tell u, the chef is a real master in the sauce making, go try the dory fish with mash potato, or fettucine, otherwise alfredo also not bad. as for desserts must check out flourless chocolate cake lo (tad expensive for slice of cake thou, ask the waiter then he say it is imported, bah)

go check out lo

Went to the big Boy Cafe last nite for coffee. I must say that their service was pretty decent. I asked for extra biscotti and they gave me free :D . When I was squinting to look at their special valentine's menu on the wall, a waiter immediately came up and gave me a copy of the menu.

Mr. Big Boy himself was there. He really look fierce la :p but he was rather friendly with us.

Best of all, WATER IS FREE!!!!!!!!!!

Will definitely go back there again to try the food.

Big Boy Cafe's really good! But sadly, I've been walking past recently and noticed it always empty, even on weekends while the Korean restaurant upstairs and the Kopitiam around the corner is having fantastic business!

I do hope it won't close down as it has really good and value for money food! So go recommend to your friends la and give him some business! We were discussing among friends and said that the owner should improve his marketing techniques, ie, distributing flyers or giving some discounts.

What do you think?

If biz is bad and he wants to sell, somebody should offer to buy. That is, if he stick around since he is the chef. How much do you think the biz is worth?

i do agree with all of you. it seems that the boss is a very old fashioned kinda guy. no agreeing to promotion or any marketing technique. sadly.

i dun think he is the chef. i saw the chef. seriously, i really wonder why the korean restaurant so good business, the food is so so only.

Yes, been there for lunch and dinner as well. Both day and nite also same same ... good food! Portion & price is reasonable. BUt reasonly, I think he had a promotion made if we order just only the Nasi GOreng Kampung and plain water .. they would ask us whether wanna top-up a few more ringgits then I get a soft drink and a cup of ice-creams. :D

The food there is simply delicious. Korean and Oldtown Kopitiam are more popular cos this is a franchise. That means its already been known around. They hv already tried Korea and Kopitiam else where and they like it. That's why!

Aiks, something must be very wrong with my eyes..... Twice a week for sure i will go to dance world in taipan, which is same roll with Eng Optic. Been walking up and down oldtown kopitiam and the mamak every week, but couldnt recall seeing this big boy cafe. Even if i had seen the cafe, but it didnt catch my interest to try or to find out more. Could it be bcoz the sign board is not catchy enough? ..... It is either the signboard is not eye catching enough or the place is always quiet lo.... But since with all the good comments, i will definately wanna find out myself. :p

I think there is an oversell on this outlet. Frankly after eating there once with my family, all of us gave the thumbs down. I would say, the taste is only passable, probably my Penang roots cause me to have higher tatse sensitivities.

Ermm .. if compare to penang then memang no fight. But if compare among other cafes around taipan, then I guess this place isn't that bad after all.
