View Full Version : Attempted house break-in
There was an attempted break-in in my home by a malay fella driving a black wira. This incident happened in the morning around 11am, Friday.
This smart fella forced the gate open by pulling it (old gate type with latch-lock mechanism) and strolled in. He opened a window and looked into the house.
Luckily, my housemate was in and the smart fella was surprised. Mumbled something in malay at my friend (who doesn't know malay) probably said he was looking for someone and left.
He had with him a bunch of keys probably for those easy to open or generic locks.

Err...dear Jand:)...so what have you or your friend done soon after...?
battened down the hatches and let loosed the dogs of war. Am keeping my nuke options open... in case we've gone pass safety margins and into the mutually assured destruction mode.
Communication to nearby allies was initiated but little to no acknowledgement received. We pray they are still alive but hope is a scarce commodity in this time and age.

I hope this post is not irrelevant. It is situations like these which really upset me that instead of co-ordinated efforts done to keep the citizens safe, our police is more concerned with shaving the whatever sparese hair of old pensioners bald and playing hide-and-seek behind bushes of highways. Now read this in today's Star dated 12.2.2006:
SUNGAI PETANI: All 12 foreign workers remanded in connection with the rape and murder of marketing executive Chee Gaik Yap have been released.
They were released on Thursday as their DNA did not match the DNA profile found on Chee.
Seven of the workers were handed over to the Immigration Department as they did not have their passports on them.
The 12, in their 20s, were picked up on Feb 1 at a construction site in Aman Jaya here.
The workers were the second batch of “suspects” picked up in connection with the case.
On Jan 17, police picked up six workers of a recreation club near Taman Ria Jaya where Chee was last seen jogging on Jan 14.
The workers, aged 20 to 40, were remanded for 12 days until Jan 26 and were released by a magistrate’s court after their DNA also did not match the DNA profile found on Chee.
Chee was abducted while she was jogging at a recreational area near Taman Ria Jaya at 6pm on Jan 14.
Her semi-nude body with only a T-shirt pushed up to her neck was found sprawled on the ground about 200m from the residential area with a stab wound some nine hours later at 2.35am on Jan 15.
...............
Please tell me whether I am relevant and whether I have the right and decency to feel upset.

Err...Jose's point is relevant...
Not only are there....brutal rapists...thieves...muggers...snatchers...n murderers readily breathing down on their next victims...there are thousands more of these freaking criminals prawling the streets everywhere n in our very own vulnerable neighbourhoods...
We ourselves are locked in the confinement of our own insecure homes...while the freaking bastards of all evils rule our very existence...as soon as we step outside of our jail houses...
n IF we ourselves are NOT allowed to expect or criticize the laws n the Police force which is entrusted to enforce them....to serve n protect us....we are doomed!

also a valid point...starting from teenagers, killing as seen on tv/video-game, also those criminal elements get lots of ideas and instructions from tv and media.
maybe they should keep quiet about how the get them or not get them, just present the result ?
