1/2 lb(225g) green beans, trimmed and cut in 1 1/4 inch(3cm) lengths
2/3lb(300g) short pasta shapes(any type)
1/2 cup(125ml) olive oil
can of tuna
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp(5ml) balsamic vinegar
salt n black pepper

METHOD
In a large pot boil the bean for 1 to 2 minutes until tender- crisp. Remove , drain and put in serving bowl.
Add a pinch of salt to the boiling water and cook pasta until al dente. then add to beans.
In a frying pan heat oil and fry the onions and tuna. Add the vinegar, turn up the heat fry quickly and transfer it onto the beans with the pasta.
Toss beans, onions, pasta and tuna add salt and pepper to taste.
cool first before serving.

I do mine slightly different. I boil the beans and the bombay onions together first. (If you want a bit of crunch, save a little bit raw onion, dice and add in the end.)

I use tuna chunks in water. Discard the water, 'break-up' the tuna and add mayo. Then throw in lots of black pepper serbuk, serbuk chili or fresh chili or chili padi, or whatever you like.

Finally toss the beans, onions and tuna with the cooked pasta. (remember to put oil in the pasta when boiling, so that it does not stick and is smooth.)
