i have 36 hours to think of a restaurant to take 3 persons out for a REALLY GOOD pre CNY dinner.

Can anyone recommend a chinese restaurant (own & manage by Gold-Medalled Chef) in PJ. I don't want to travel to KL after work...the jam will spoilt the evening...

I am looking at dishes like special abalone, monk jump over the wall etc...pricey dishes but really superdelicious...not unlike those serve in hotel equatorial's Golden Phoenix or faraway nilai:D

any idea?

Err...dear Tupai:)...your pick may require the chef to prepare n cook for considerable time...perhaps it is better if you first drop by at Overseas(ex.AsiaJaya)...talk to them to see what they could offer...n make the reservation... :)

Went to this rest in KL called nobal house from the oriental group, the dishes were quite unique and pricy, I suggest u give it a try, they have a branch in Jaya, PJ.

Nearer to home, not too expensive, u can try this new rest called JO restaurant in SS15/4B(yes the rest owner name is Jeffrey Ooi, but no relation to the one we know so well in this website), the food is ok, u can talk to them if they do the food u requested at 56333218. The place is new hence very clean.

My dua sens.

I would go with Ming Room in BSC. The food there is unique and delicious, though a bit pricey.

This 'monk jump over the wall' can it be substituted with the dish call "priest crawling under the tunnel' or 'swamy crossing over the flyover?' If so, I can recommend you where this relishing and savoury dishes are available.

I have tried the dim sum in fortune court. The shanghainese dim sum were ok but not the siu mai and har gau. To me these are the two which actually defines how good or bad a dim sum is. To me the ones in choong foong in usj 21 is better but very different ambience and very different pricing also. You can go to the rasa sayang in crystal palace or crystal crown in pj. They would have the fatt tiu cheong and whole braised abalone, I am sure.

I just had dim sum at Jade Restaurant in Sunway Damansara. Excellent. Definitely worth going back again.
