View Full Version : Chilli Tuna Pasta Salad

300g large shells(any kind of pasta)
200g green beans, halved
2x185g cans of chili tuna (canned)
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup basil leaves, torn
2 tbsp drained baby capers
Dressing
1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil
1/2 cup(125ml) lemon juice
2 cloves garlic crushed
2 tbsp sugar

METHOD
cook the pasta in boiling water until tender.Drain pasta then rinse it under cold water.Meanwhile boil, steam or mircowave the beans until just tender, then drain. Drain tuna over a small bowl, reserving the oil for the dressing. Flake tuna into large chunks with fork.
Just before serving, combine the pasta, beans, tuna, herbs, capers. drizzle with the dressing.

DRESSING: Combine all of the ingredients with reserved chili oil in a jar and shake well.

HI there

I was wondering where you get your basil leaves. I have a hard time finding them on the supermarket fresh produce section.

i go to bangsa shopping centre - they have cold storage there. Cold storage sells them.

capers are ready made small green shrub. Its already in small pieces cut up and they are use to sprinkle on sandwitches n such
