I went to this "Mykopitiam" last week. I order a normal mihun, 1 chicken curry and 1 ice coffee. The final figure? RM9.00 lar..
Mihun - RM2.5, curry - RM4.00(more expensive than the indian rest) and ice coffee (2.5).

Is Subang Jaya'ian really that foot lou or just plain sucker.

Went by the restaurant just now, not many cust.

Unless they drop their price drastically, I could foresee another casualties.

Ya-lor! So, even the roti special is nice...I doubt I want to go in to be slaughtered again! My colleague says many customers go there for breakfast. Wow...imagine RM9 for breakfast!!!! I would rather go to mamak!!

Blame it on high rental rate which are sky high in USJ Taipan area..Its the real killer!..and how else to survive but higher prices than normal.

i believe one has to take into consideration of the overheads they incurr. BSlee is right when it comes to the rental and such. Rental norm on the ground floor of usj 10 is about rm 6k to 7k not inclusive of staff and utilities. All adds up without the staff costs will be about 9k just for the rental and operation of the place. If they sell you RM 3.00 meals, then they have to make at least 3000 meals just to break even for their rental and utilities which means 100 customers per day if it's that cheap. That also not taken into consideration of the costs of producing the food.

Well, i believe it's a "What goes around comes around" theory. High rental and overheads = high price. Low rental and overheads = low price.

My 2 sens worth.
