Last month I watched the 10pm TVBS News which reported that some popular snacks have been found to contain 9 times more Aluminum than allowed in Shanghai, and the source was from Baking Powder..... Watch out for the bread, cake, cookies that your are eating...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aluminum, a common environmental metal, is found in higher-than-normal levels in the brains of humans with Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. It is intesting to note, however, that a significant amount of the aluminum found in tap water is actually added by the water companies, as it is used as alum (aluminum sulfate) to remove particulate and organic matter.
*Avoid ALL antiperspirants, since they contain aluminum
*Stop using aluminum cookware and aluminum foil
*Use only baking powder with no aluminum
*Avoid aluminum canned drink
*Use carbon water filter to eliminate heavy metal in your drinking water

*And don't ride aluminium bikes
*And don't touch anything aluminium
*And better avoid contact with anything metal
Just joking this is getting a bit silly.
*Avoid ALL antiperspirants, since they contain aluminum
Since when did anti perspirant become food? Are you actually eating them? No wonder you have health problem.
I can tell you that anti perspirants applied as they are intended do not cause you any harm whatsoever. And it might even avoid other people distancing themselves from you....
*Avoid aluminum canned drink
Aluminium cans are banned in many countries. But not because of any health risk. There is no danger whatsoever to drink from aluminium can. Unless you are eating the can too!!!!.... So don't scare people unnecessarily. However, aluminium cans comprise an environmental problem since they are non degradeable. They don't rust away like steel cans.
*Use carbon water filter to eliminate heavy metal in your drinking water
Aluminium is not a heavy metal. It's a very light metal.

You are tooooooo analytical and investigative la. Why allow your mind so much burden. Perhaps all your threads could be put in the health segment. Or "BEWARE" segment.

Just got up from the floor laughing my guts out !
Well put Isarahim, didn't know you had a funny bone.
As usual, life-ranger puts this in the main forum and I have to move it to "health" (for want of a better home). Maybe I should start a sub-forum on quacks (is there such a word as "quackery"?) and move the appropriate stuff over there for good!
Sometimes I wonder if life-ranger lives on the moon because the very air we breathe contains heavy metals and stuff that are undisputably carcinogens. Not forgetting carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide which are toxic!!

There are too many errors and inconsistencies in these postings to deserve being called analytical.
I would say spurious or 'quackarious'...

Well...there are many ways people look at life. I think the ones who live their lives to the fullest by contributing to the society deserve to live healthier and longer by definition. It is a loss of the society if they die young. Hence I hope to inspire these people to be more aware of their health. :p
And the young ones are too innocent to die young before they are aged enough to know the world. So parents ought to be vigilant in their diet from time to time. Quote likes this from a parent is cruel, not cool, I think :
Ahh.....my favourite potato chips are Lays and RUffles both by Pepsico. Will I stop eating them? No.
I hope all my postings do no offence here. :p
