Does anyone know how long it takes for EPF to approve and submit the money for education purposes ? ie. after submitting the application.

I hope it takes only 1 or 2 weeks and not few months. :mad:

i did it once in 2002, n i got the cheque in less than a month.

It should be less than a month if there were no complication...just go down there, get hte form filled up and pass the necessary documents and bring the original too.

The earliest I have seen is a week, but generally it takes 2 -3 weeks

Err...can one withdraw from own EPF's account...to pay for OWN medical fees...?TQ

Yes you can. but must be terminal disease like cancer, heart operation etc. Not minor things like cough and fever.

Chronic illness (confirmation from a specialist is required)

Err...thank you again Pucman:)...so should Orchi is bed ridden or hospitalized...or say Orchi suffered a stroke...n looses the ability to hear or speak...or looses partial body coordinations...there is NO way for Orchi to apply for the withdrawal... :(
