The Ramly burger may be standard anywhere but its the quality of bread bun and sauce toppings that would drastically differ the wholesome taste at various stalls. Most of them use industry pack of sauces and mayo from the likes of Kimball, Lady's choice or other local brands. Nothing to shout about but serves the purpose.
If not mistaken, Ramly have their own buns which the seller may also take but some do not. I don't quite fancy the taste of some buns which taste sweetish and doesn't quite go along the taste of the meat burger and toppings. By right, I think the bun should be as plain as possible, grilled to have a little crispness without having an oily taste.
I usually order mine packed without tomato or chilly sauce and only a wee bit of mayo.(which they sometimes over spread). I then go home and top it up with my favourite Del Monte tomato sauce.
I can't say which is the best here but for the sake of convenience, I goto the one at USJ8(7-11 store) and another one in SS15, near the wet market.
Just my take on indulging the local road side burger!.

The one at Subang Perdana Court 2 is good.
The famous one outside SS2 Bomba station, they have been in the papers!
Just like bslee, I normally order mine without the sauces. By the time I get home, the burger is all soggy.

You may want to try the one in front of 7-11 at USJ 4. Said to be the best.

The one in USJ 4 (Apollo Restaurant) is pretty good too, as he changes his add-on ingredient every other day, sometimes corn, kidney beans, etc.
They are closed on Tuesdays....

Burger here taste very bland....
In truth, the "Malaysian spiced up" Ramly burger isn't natural at all! The seasonings or whatever spices used has enomously altered the traditional burger or beef flavor.
One is supposed to get the taste of good natural beef burger usually seasoned with salt, pepper, some natural herbs, perhaps and a condiment or two. Seasonings are supposed to bring out the flavor of the beef or meat itself, not alter it to another state of taste.
Anyway..so be it if most do favor Ramly burger taste..not right for me to argue. :p

I like the Ramli burger at USJ2's Anggerik. The guy added Maggi Seasoning Sauce and that makes the burger smells real good! Ocassionally I would order the special, with a slice of cheese added. Yum yum...finger licking good!
