Maxis will provide wired broadband service for home user soon...

hi everyone, i think maxis will soon provide the wired broadband service to home user instead of wireless broadband! :D (i get this information from maxis consultant :) )

i think this is really a GOOD news for lot people who may not satisfy about the download speed of the wireless broadband, especially people who live at puchong, keke... :p

i just hope maxis can provide the service as soon as possible and in low fee just like the TM-Net... :)

hey, i also stay at pusat bandar puchong jalan 1/6, im now using maxis wireless broadband, before this i also got tried the jaring wireless broadband too, but i don't think it is a good choice because it may block P2P... :(

but for the maxis wireless broadband, the connection speed is normal, i took the 384kbps package, the speed i normally get is around (100kbps - 250kbps), but for P2P i only can download at speed (5 - 10kbit), monthly fee is around RM100, quite expensive! :mad: so i really hope maxis can provide the wired broadband as soon as possible lo... :)

I have been a customer from the time they launched the wireless bb service, the promise was nationwide wireless connectivity and Subang Jaya was the first launch site. After almost 2 years, the service only expanded to some parts of Puchong. Can't help but feel that they pulled a fast one with false promise. Of course, nothing was written but mere promises by dealers or salesmen. I signed up for the most expensive package but must say its only a very average service bearing the Maxis brand.

these few days the connection is really S**KS!!! :mad: i hate to use wireless bb because the connection always unstable and weak!!! (maybe my area only, not sure about other places), but no choice i already signed contract with maxis for 1 year, aiyo... :( MAXIS, please do something!!! :confused:

hi fengyun, i also stayed at pusat bandar puchong...btw when u connected to maxis wireless broadband, what IP add that they assigned to you, izzit a dynamic ip address( 202.xxx.xxx.xxx)...or they give to you the private/local area network ip (192.168.xxx.xxx, 172.xxx.xxx.xxx)...thank you :) just curious to know

so you also use the maxis wireless broadband currently? can u tell me the download speed u usually get? i stay at 1/6, the connection is poor here, download speed always not stable, but usually slow! :mad:

nolar..still survey...actually i desperate to use internet connection at my home for my part time work... :p ..but dunno whether have a coverage at jalan persiaran indera

hitokiri, i'm not sure whether your place there got coverage or not? maybe you can make a phone call to maxis :)

instead of maxis, our area got a new ISP called GoLightSpeed, not sure it is good or not? :confused: maybe u need to do more research on it... :)

i used tmnet - streamyx RM66 (own modem) 512KB download unlimited usage for a month but maxis offer quiet expensive woh :

leewinnie46, actually all users stay at pusat bandar puchong also wish to apply streamyx, but we got no choice, that BB service only provided to home which is telecom line, not maxis line (Pusat Bandar Puchong forced to use MAXIS LINE)... :(

i had called and ask TM-NET lot times: "when the service is available in our area?" but i the answer i usually get is: "NO, because..." :(

i just hope maxis can provide the wired BB service to our area soon, i think wired BB sure cheaper than the wireless BB, but it sure will still expensive then streamyx lo... :(

Im getting the below msg from yahoo group pppbp, i called the Mr Sufian, He said streamyx will come to pusat bandar puchong if they got at least 100 customer, he said curently have 40 or 50 customer only, please guys call mr sufian show him the support.

I thing alot of people staying in pusat bandar puchong still dont know the news, please pass the msg.

Streamy has already got approval to come into PBP. They were
recruiting at the Wawasan 2 Taman next to the Tadika. Not bad,
quite a number turned up to sign up.

The thing is this. Streamy will not come in if they find that the
response here is not good. SO ALL OF YOU, if you are fed up with
MAXIS like me for example, please go sign up with Telekoms. They
told us that they will continue to do this sign up campaign from
time to time, but again no confirmation if they will come unless
they see that the response from the residents here are good.

Fixed line is definately better than wireless that we are currently
having. And the monthly rates are also very much cheaper than the
current one.
