Datuk left red-faced by raid

A raid by anti-vice policemen at a spa and karaoke outlet in a hotel in Subang Jaya left a politician Datuk rather red-faced.

The Datuk was in the spa when four officers and 23 men from Bukit Aman's anti-vice and gambling division arrived at 10pm.

It is believed that the Datuk left through a back door to avoid being photographed by the press.

Ahhmmm... which datuk politician ni?

This is not an offence, going to a spa for massage etc. if it is, is handcuff required?Did they handcuff the other customers? Why were they handcuff? Was it on TV or papers? Or were the customers handcuff due to drugs issue etc.

The question here is who is the Datuk??? ;) But Datuk can't go to a spakah?

Agreed with you Syvester Stallone. It is not an offence to patronise the spa for a good rub - whichever way. It is just that some people needed to be rubbed the right way. That Datuk politician (ours is thousand of kilometre away from that scene and will be back only next Tuesday) could have his reputation at stake mainly because his race does not allow him to be there at such a joint. Possibly he is also a married man and to be found in the company of sexy women dressed so alluring he got a lot of and I mean a whole lot of explaining to do to his wife when he gets home. He can't possibly say "Honey, that was our company farewell dinner bash to 2005." We in the IT line always joke about that joint that is purportedly operated by IBM Big Blue and the Apple Computer, the first one in the world that is IBM and Apple compatible. I feel very uneasy whenever I have to bring my wife there for dinner there and having to walk through the basement car park where the joint is operating from. No, no it is not that I was afraid that one of the ladies of the night start calling my name out but rather some of them are dressed in such a way that my eyes need to triple parked at their cleavages.

A Datuk was among 43 patrons who were caught by surprise in a vice raid at a spa and karaoke outlet of a five-star hotel here last night.

However, the Datuk, who is also a politician, was released together with other patrons after their statements were recorded.

He managed to avoid the media by escaping through the basement parking.

Police are tightlipped over his identity.

In the three-hour raid from 10pm, the team from Bukit Amanís Crime Investigation Division picked up 25 foreign and five local women, aged between 18 and 30, on suspicion of being involved in vice activities at the premises.

Some tried to escape via the outletís emergency exit but failed.

They were later taken in a police truck to the nearest police station to facilitate investigations.

The team also picked up two local women, believed to be pimps.

Police also took statements from the outletís 36 staff.

Last nightís raid was the seventh conducted at the hotel since early this year.

The previous raid was on Sept 30 by Subang Jaya police when seven foreign women were picked up for their alleged involvement in vice.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fuad Talib said that excluding last nightís raid, police have rounded up a total of 41 foreign women at the outlet.

Which joint is the one in question?

I have noticed some irregularities around a lounge/bar that some of my colleagues go to after work.

Now: if you think the name is better left unsaid...how about a tiny hint. Subang Jaya is a bigger place than I thought since it includes Puchong, USJ, etc.

Hi Ochipalar,

You can't blame the new comer. As for us "old folks" who don't know Blue Apple, wow all these years, it is still doing great "business there. Hummmm have to pay a visit after all these dog gone years.

BTW, whethere is Dato' , datuk, Tan Sri or whatever tittle you want to call them. They can visit any SPA they want, this, atleast we still have some freedom to do as a Malaysian. What is the problem with few business associates enjoy in a steam room talking c**k????

When the newspaper says
"A police spokesman said 30 foreign women, aged between 18 an 30, who were suspected of being involved in prostitution, were detained for questioning. Two women believed to be their pimps were also detained." it implies that the activities at that moment under that environment was probably suspect, and the Datuk was among those in the party. So the infamour woman in the earsquat was probably rounded up this way. Otherwise, a genuine spa is perfectly alright.

Looks like you are clearly spelling out that this person is of a race and a particular religion. you have inside information with all the apple stuff etc? ;)

#######
But whatever the issue, He has got his religious beliefs and if he doesn't follow it, that is up to him and god. Lets not have a houlier than thou attitude. Some of us don't attend church on regular basis,so what then.have we broken the 10 commandments? We eaten beef when our religion says we can't. Some drink when they are not suppose too.Not saying anyone here in particular.Do we like to others to highlight it and believe me there are people who will do it if they get the slightest chance and even when it is not true or even when they hear from 3rd/4th party. But lets give it a break. We seem to take the high ground and highlight the religious issue/non compliance. Somethings no need to paint the whole picture mah. ;) Let it be lah.

You know larr the press, like to add pepper and salt.....thats why the datuk go out another way. For example, he is just there having a chit chat with some friends, but if he is been identify by the reporters, maybe some irresponsible reporter would write that he is been seen hugging a girl...for sure this will create a big havoc..

What the datuk did is right, he just want to escape some unneccesary trouble...

There are hundreds of datuks who have chalked thousands of "frequent happy happy hours" at this Blue Apple joint but this one is special. That Datuk is no ordinary Datuk. He is from Kedah. I leave you to guess the race. If you can easily guess the joint as Blue Apple, this one is easy. But I ain't telling you the name. Now when you are a politician and voted to that important position and also being bestowed a datukship by the Sultan, that position place you as a public figure and there are a set of decorums that you have to adhere to. In the TV3 news last night, I was surprised that there were so many of the GROs there. Imagine your face suddenly appear to be among them. To be found in the company of prostitutes is something even your wife and family cannot tolerate. I am not judging him as I did not say that he is sinful. Tell me who is without sin. He knows that he is in deep shiit and that is why he has to make his getaway out of the flashing limelight. If the police is not revealing his identity, let us hear it from the Internet but not here.

Eversince my last posting, my phone kept on ringing not to wish me Happy New Year but "Come on, PC, spit it out. Who is he? I also received PM telling me "Give me the name and I will buy you a jug tonite." In one of the sms I received, it says "You are just making me wet." Well folks, I can't as I myself don't know. I am just talking cock and singging song. In Hokkien, it is "kong song, eh teh song."

Too bad Greenbug, if his identity is made known by the authority (if they do), you will learn more about him. I heard the news today that people are clamouring for the police to reveal his identity. The spokesman said that by doing so, those who are VVIP and who hold public offices will learn to behave rather than run wild with shady women. He further added that the police cannot give such undeserving people special treatment. Well, the ball is at the authority's court but I have a strong feeling that they will just kick it away as the stakes are high here. If they do that, the Datuk can kiss goodbye to his bright political career.

I wonder how soon the defense mechanism will take to 'spear' into action. I mean news on the grapevine like this can 'lance' into the heart of one's political aspirations and absolutely 'ravage' one's credibility. People will 'poke' fun at the person.

Another episode involving the kind of 'leaders' we have in our midst.... I am not surprised at all but I guess we reap what we sowed.

I wonder why it took so long for his identity to be made public and I wonder whether he would have been off the hook if the rumor-mills in the various websites were not "burning hot" with the speculations on the identity of the 'dato' arrested.....

The UMNO-reform website seems to have recanted their earlier story and put up a piece of 'breaking-news' that the said Dato' was merely there to help a friend who had been detained for four hours.

There are some things I would like to point out.

Wouldn't it be nice if we all had influential political friends to help us out. In terms of what was happening, the statement can be construed as a politician interfering in the work of the police.

The statement had also said that the reporters had mistaken the Dato' to be involved and as such put the story up. I know a lot of reporters and they simply do NOT put up stories merely because someone 'happened' to be at the scene of the incident.

A question comes to mind. Why did the said Dato' not clarify the incident at the point where it happened to the reporters, thereby not having to go through this whole episode?

PETALING JAYA 6 Jan.

There are 3 things not right here.

1. It is shocking that the the fine is so low that Mr Chan just have to dip into his pocket to pay the fine. And even that money could have been earned by 10 of his girls in less tha 40 minutes or by all those girls arrested in about 15 minutes. And how much time and effort have the anti vice squat (spelt this way on purpose) Most probably 10 time more.

2. With this kind of fine, no wonder it will never be a deterent to our Mr Chan to shut down his joint. It will be a waste of time and not worth the papers used to issue summon to him. In fact, Mr Chan is thinking that he is doing a community service and also at the same time charitable - donating to the government coffer which he can easily afford. The magistrate should have slapped the jail sentence as well if she took into consideration that the offence as become a habit. And there is no appeal by the DPP to press for a maximum sentence for habitual offender. I have read cases where a habitual shoplifters (even poor mothers with a family to feed) are slapped 6 month jail term. Where is justice?

3. At age 24, Mr Chan has become a very successful businessman. This shows that it pays to commit crime and the best business is the flesh business.

By the way, why wasn't the operator charged with harbouring illegals in his massage parlour? Now we know who our datuk went to help during the raid at the parlour!! Perhaps lighter charges and hence lighter sentence due to datuk's 'recommendations'. :D

b4 we get carried away...allow me to share a thought by a 'strongman':

There are crimes and there are sins. There are some sins which are legal and some are not. Some sins got license lissued by the authority therefore they operate legally. Those without license, but in the same sin bizz, are illegal.

Some of sin/crime, are there simply by demand. If I went to unlicensed AppleJam to commit a sin, I can guarantee you that NO one put a Glock to my head. I went there willingly, wholeheartedly and with such gusto and overflow enthusiasm...but getting nicked by the cops was not in my program of the nite though. :p

Lets leave the the high horsey moral ground to the 15th daymoon, sunday & friday ministries.
