I tried not to be pessimistic, always hoping for the brighter side of things, smile even when I am down and out, but the coming of 2006 doesnt seems to so sunny and warm.

I couldnt help but thinking about the eletricity rates thats expected to go up, with gas and petrol imminent, quit rent on the rise (kl rates comfirmed), air fares was prematurely boosted and as a result of the multiplier effect transportation, bus fares, comsumers goods, medications and everything that has a price tag on it will rise. :(

My bank only gives me 3.7% on my FD which barely covers the increased cost of living. Anyone has some positive news that 2006 will bring cheers ?

Lets hope there will be no more bombing, wars and famine and all them naughty natural disaster. Be happy and appreciate with what you have.
Try a little kindness. ... have a wonderful Christmas and a great 2006 !!! :)

Oh well... look at me. Next year would be brighter for the little insignificant Yvonne Foong. I am resuming studies, and there is my tentatively book launch, and fun fair to raise money for surgery. These are big stuffs to keep my mind occupied, to draw attention away from dwelling onto problems.

No wonder not many people are buying my HEART4HOPE t-shirts. Everyone's worrying about the coming price hikes. Oh well...

Wish I will never have to grow up. so I wont have to worry about all these...

well, good to know that I have a common feeling about our country's outlook next year....so, since i dont have a choice of migrating to other countries, and make do with this one, i would have to
i) take lrt to work
ii) bring tapau food for lunch
iii) work longer ours to avoid hefty electric bills at home
iv) try to find a 2nd job (maybe i would "lipat kotak" at home for weekends)

I really hope I dont have to do all that.................but what to do....

Jay Chou, you have to spend less on entertainment in order to save more then you can afford buy your house and then find yourself a wife. - in that sequence.

Ameer Shah, apart from what you planned, for me I wud shrink my Astro package, mostly repeats, yuks !, Take more cold baths so I dont use too much air-con. There's not much choice but just to cut expenses.

Some of my friends out there doing business are very worried. They are not sure which directions to set sail. Then again it depends on what business you are doing and your location.... of course there are some doing tremendously well. - on the whole, its mostly downtrend...

just got to punch a few more holes in my belt..

Starting a 'new' life as I will be posted to Singapore from Brunei. Though its a promotion, I am leaving a country which is tax-free to one with taxes and a CPF that I cannot smell until I'm 55.

The cost of cars are also expensive in S'pore compared to Brunei - not to mention the road-tax, the parking and the ERP and what have you. Looks like the 3.0V6 Honda Accord now have to downgrade to 2.0 or 2.4 lah.... si liau! Maybe even have to downgrade to Civic lah.... aiyoh!

2006, 2006, 2006..... susah liao, gonna misss my little Brunei kingdom.... no traffic jams, cheap petrol, hardly any road tax (RM100 a year - any c.c.) etc etc.... one do not appreciate something until its gone, how true!

Christmas is kinda..over. 2006 here I come!!

:o My new year resolution is..wishing I had achieved my 2005 resolution(s).

1. Take my parents for a long holiday..somewhere where they could sunbathe naked perhaps :D and re-kindle their romance..woo...

2. Pass my exams with flying colors! Before that, I wish that I could be more focused, more intelligent up there, so could save time in burning the midnite oil :D

3. Look slim and healthy. Next year 5kg plus this year un-achieved 5kg. Total 10kg to put off.

4. I also wish I could have more will-power to say NO NO NO to bad food, and also, people who has had bad influence in my life.

How about downgrading to MRT and have a car parked somewhere safe in JB? That's what I did.

You are more intelligent and your memory works better between 4 AM to 9 AM in the morning. That's when you should study if you have the discipline and go to bed earlier. Also a cup of tea (without sugar) in the morning increases your ability to absorb information, a cup of coffee reduces it.

Thanks Isarahim Sir! Will try! :) Discipline is lotsa self-control (arggh!! 4AM! meaning I've gotta sleep at 9PM!) but if it works, God pls help me! and I'd better buck up before it's too late! Good luck to me :D

and I happen to like tea/coffee without sugar.

Yeah, I think you're sweet enough. Good luck! If it doesn't help, whip me left and right.

Wot's that old story again? A Brit, Yank and Aussie couple are having breakfast together.

Brit husband to his wifie: Please, pass me the sugar, sweetie!
Yank husband to his wifie: Please, pass me the honey, honey!
The Aussie husband is absolutely dumbfounded. He had to come up with something very quickly...
Aussie husband to his wifie: Please, pass me the bacon, pig!
