So there is this school of thinking/archeo that Jesus wasn't born in Dec 25...cos the 3 wisemen couldn't have journeyed & survived thru winter to reach Jesus' birth place...and

Becos it going to be a kinda weird to celeb Xmas without the snowy santa & reindeers & sleigh and pinetree and thingy white (in west lah)...so for commercial reasons, Xmas stays in the wintry month.

Also ah, it was articulated that the year BC is actually 4 years behind BC ...so now, it should actually be 2009 or something like that.

True or not?

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2010 to all :D

It was also said that the dating of BC and AD is wrong.

Eg. in a numerical order, it should read as -1 , 0 , 1 in that order.

In the death of JC, that year should be labelled zero. Therefore one year after his death is 1 AD. And the year before his death is 1 BC. So it should be 1 BC, then 0, then 1 AD. The current usage jumps frm 1 BC straight into 1 AD which is, in the experts opinion, wrong. ;)
So we shld be in 2011 next year and actually 9 more years to go for Wawasan!

Correct, but the more important discrepancy is that King Herod passed away in the year 4 BC. So assumed that there is historical truth in the gospel story (in particular Matthew as well as some non-canonical gospels like the Jesus Infant Gospel) that his parents were pursued by King Herod after the Magi's visit and that he commanded the massacre of the innocent children, the birth must clearly have taken place before 4 BC.
