Often we talk bout good chinese restaurant ... now comes those regular "tai chow" that is cheap & good ..
Yesterday went had tis tai chow in PJ State, next to Tong Woh shop the other corner .. the meal was great & it ain't that expensive .. :D
6 person , 5 dishes & drinks (chinese tea) comes to only $62. Nowadays u can hardly find such "tai chow" around in PJ that serves good food ...

Any other place for "tai chow" to recommend??? ;)

What dishes you order..........elaborate a bit lah, so next time we go, we know what to order and how much to pay. Sometimes, tai chow places, their pricing not so consistent....I remember the place in SS14, next to the Mobil station, used to get 3 simple dish for less than RM20.......nowadays, definitely more than RM30....so stopped going there!

Had Chicken, Fish and Vege yesterday in Sunway Food Court (the other one near LDP), in air-cond room, cost RM31. Price ok??

I like going there. Especially the curry fish head is deliciously yummy. However when there's a lot of people, it's an extremely long wait. I saved their phone no so I will call and order first and don't have to wait that long.

Wah, not vely cheap lah for such dishes. I have Butter Chicken Wings, Sek Pan Steam and Brinjals/Long Beans with Dried Prawns plus Chinese Tea for RM31. Air-Cond, they add additional RM1 per dish. Otherwise, only RM28.

Directions -easy only. You come down straight from the road passing Sunway College and Sunway Medical (which is on your left). Pass the traffic lights at Sunway Medical first and the first turning on your left, before joining the LDP and presto, you see the food court! Phone No -get from LMei. :)

I have Butter Chicken Wings

Here's my recommendation:
Ming Kee tai chow
Paramount Garden Taman SEA PJ
Location: Directly opposite Paramount Garden KFC.

Well, not chicken wings but say "Lai Yau Kai"...yep...kew Kai lah!..
I think its perhaps the best I've tasted and one of their specialities.
The chicken is nice chunky juicy pieces. Hmmm...now drooling! anyone like to belanja me??? :D

You want the telephone number, I got!..just to make sure they're open!..
Just hate driving all the way there and see it closed..sigh!

Do ya know we can 'tai chow' the hokkien mee at home? :p

Just get some lard (sorry muslim readers!) and fry away! It could never taste the same without that.

Anyway, just to confirm there's no good tai chow for hokkien mee in usj right.

Tai chow for dishes are ok at Parkway Restaurant SS19 but a little pricey..love their kailan siew yook and belachan french beans. De deep fried fish with soya sauce is nice.

Ok, engine started liao. :p

Somehow, if i'm around usj area, nanking hokkien mee is nice .. i kinda like their hokkien mee but all tis depends on the mood of the cooks .. :D

Tried Parkway 'tai chow' not bad n indeed pricey but i dun like their hokkien mee .. not nice!! Another nice tai chow is in paramount p.j there ... O&S opposite caltex station only .. basically most of their food is nice there .. ;)

Good to hear ur engine has began to warm up again ... !!!

Discovered a good tai chow in SS14, the coffee shop next to BP Petrol Station.

The dishes that remain on my mind till this wee hour of the morning......

- chicken & yam in claypot
- braised catfish

Wow, they were so delicous!!!! And servings are generous!

We had them for lunch. They also operate at nite. I will go back from the Braised catfish again and again. I thinks some Assam Jawa is added to make the sauce. It's sourish, spicy and yummy yum yum!!!

The Chicken and Yam in Claypot is cooked with tau cheong.
Very appetizing!!! My colleagues hentam puas-puas with plates of rice!!

I will definitely go back there again!
