It depend on your debit exposure....the same applies to your credit card too.......if u have RM100,000....then in the case something goes wrong.....puff......RM100,000 gone in 7 seconds.......and if u got less $$$........then no worries lor........ :D

Also, let say u got platinum credit card which give u few hundred k of credit withdrawal.........so......get me or not......but most of the time when transaction byond certain amount......the bank will usually call u up to verify......somemore Air Asia flight usually cheap if we book much earlier........if something not right......u have the time to find out......then u can alwiz request for your bank to cancel the purchase which u have no knowledge of....or unauthorised....... :)

do not worry.....as long as u did print the payment transaction...then u at least have prove to show them even if no itinerary being email to u.....
btw.....every single transaction myself done with Air Asia usually they mail me the itinerary.......the latest also the next day....... :D

Once I accidentaly book twice they told me they will refund back to me the amount that I've paid using my credit card but it took 30-60days for the transaction. So for your case refund is possible but you need to wait that long as the staff told me is their procedure.

By the way there is 1 time I check on line how much does it cost for 2 person to Jakarta on a particular departure date I didn't book on the spot I book it the next day to my surprise the rates is different by additional RM 50 per person,same flight,same date :o I wonder do they change their rates everyday.

Just play the system. Do the other booking at zero value, call up their customer service and say earlier, system reject but credit card charged. They will then ask you which flight you want and like mad1126 says, it will take them 30-60 days to refund.

Thanks for all your feedback & advice. I was quite annoyed yesterday and can't really sleep :mad: This morning I advise my friend go straight to Airasia office to complain and ask for cancellation. They actually refuse to entertain the case and said the system works like that...Luckily, at the end they offer 2 options, (1)to cancell the flights and only will credit back to the credit card account in 2 months time (2) utilise the amount to book for another flights offline. So my friend opt for the 1st option but no black & white, only one sheet of paper stating -5048.00 with the name of the card holder. Hopefully this is a genuine case. By the way, do you gals realised that the fare for most of the flights that I check today, most of them is zero value but before that there is a price :eek: :confused: I think this is not something siapa cepat, dia dapat ! Is like siapa lambat pun dapat, just wait for the right timing :cool: :eek: :confused:

Ya I understand this and totally agreed but why the price can be zero , the next minute with a price, then zero again the next moment? :confused: If most seats hv been taken up, then the price should stay or increase but the case here is it drop back to zero value for the same flight, same time.
So,if any one way of the flight that you wanted to book is chargeable, better don't book 1st and wait for another week or so to check as the fare might have readjusted to zero :D

if u see it RM100........either u wait for it to go to RM0 or the thing get more expensive as closer to the date of flight it will shoot up to RM200-300......so which one is a better option...... :rolleyes: ....u think leh??

I totally agree with Phengkeng on this... All I can say is the Air Asia seat is just like share market. So if you have plenty of time, do check the the pricing everyday or twice a day so that you would get the best price. My roomate is still hoping for the price to go down for flights to KK on the 23 Dec or 24 Dec but it seems that the ticket price keep on increasing everyday as the date draws nearer :eek: . Its like gambling to her... I just hope she could go back in time for Christmas. :rolleyes:

Airasia only cancel the returned flight which is the one that is from zero to 2049 and drop to zero again, of course we rebook again on the same day when Airasia willing to refund (have to return home mah ;) The price is still stand at zero as at now.

Hi, Free ticket is given away from Air Asia on certain time only. The rate might change on daily or after 2 days. I experience it, No matter how, please select pay by credit card for your booking. Don't select pay by maybank2u. I have bad experience recently. If you select pay by maybank then a lot of issue. The system cannot update automatically to prove that you have been successfully booking and pay for the Tax. Then you need to call up Air Asia Call Center to double check on it. Recently calling Air Asia call center is crazy. You can wait for 30 minutes without respond. If you manage to call up is like winning a TOTO. :cool:
Now i still wait for them to update me. As I check today the return flight on the same date already charge on RM229.99 :eek: . So I need to wait for their feedback because my booking is on Friday night and it's free until yesterday night.
So hopefully they can give me a great feedback on that. By the way anybody know Air Asia Call Center Location? It's should be in PJ area if according to the phone number.

You may look for the Our planes & people icon at the Airasia website and click on the call centre to look for the address. I think you better go personally to the call centre rather than calling them as I don't think you will be able to speak to anyone of them :mad:
For complaints and cancellations of flights, you better go to Subang Terminal 3 !

Is it safe to do direct debit instead? BTW, this news about the free ticket is all over Asia. My friend in S'pore told me that the advertisement is 1 whole page in the Singapore newspaper :eek:

I have paid for 2 tickets to bangkok but received a On Hold status. I have been calling Air Asia customer service to double check for 2 days but couldn't get through. I have emailed them but received no reply. Probably they are too busy due to the promotion or its just poor customer service. I also want to book hotel accomodation in bangkok but I want to make sure that the flights are confirmed as RM289 has been credited from my bank account.

Is anybody else facing this same problem?
