YB Dato' Lee Hwa Beng suggested that we form a NWatch group in USJ6 after I complained to him that the rate of crime here is really worrisome. He has set aside some funds for us to get this off the ground, and I think it's an opportunity we should not let slide.

If you live in USJ6, and would like to participate in the formative stage of this NWatch, please let me know.

More details here (http://www.brandmalaysia.com/movabletype/archives/2005/12/lee_hwa_beng_to.html) . Let's pitch in together and make this work. It's for our benefit after all.

I suggest you invite our Penghulu of USJ, Mr. Raymond Tan to be the adviser. He was the first to introduce the Neighbourhood Watch concept to our community.

I notice that you will be launching the USJ 6 Neighbourhood Watch at 5.00pm Saturday, 7th of January, 2006 at the USJ6 padang and it is open to all. I hope that the rest of the other NWs such as USJ 9, USJ 11, USJ 12, USJ 16, USJ 17, USJ 18, USJ 20, USJ 23, USJ 27 should take the opportunity to network with the new kid in the block to informally form a cohesive Neighbourhood Watch of USJ and work with the USJ Residents' Association to champion community issues that affects the USJ community. It falls under the Jawatan Kuasa Penduduk Zon 2 which is taking care of USJ 2-USJ 7. From the statistics I have, there are some 2,400 houses in USJ 6, the third largest community in USJ. USJ 2 with 2,800 houses is the largest followed by USJ 11 with 2,472 houses. USJ 6 comprises of 530 Subang Perdana apartment units and approximetely 200 units of the Indera Subang Condominium units which has their own security and community set up so you have only to focus on the remaining 1,670 houses.

Best of luck to you Mack and wish you success in championing a good cause to instill good neighbourliness among your little community.

PC, thanks for your vote of confidence but I think we should also include ignore Gilbert Yeoh, who is the Chairman of JKP Zon 2. That's USJ 6's call, of course. Also, Melvin Lee of USJ 5 will be happy to help out.

Wah PC, thanks for the stats man. Yes, I will also formally invite all the USJ neighbourhood watch groups to attend, it will help exemplify a running model of what we are trying to achive.

Chookyan, would you care to join the core group organizing this? PM me if you are interested and I will brief you on the matter.

Raymond has already been invited as Advisor, and yes Orchi was present during the meeting and the follow up will be the formation of the USJ2 Nwatch.
