Third pay TV station to go on air on Dec 26

Malaysians can now opt for a third pay TV station called Fine TV which will begin transmission on Dec 26 in the Klang Valley

Subscribers will have to pay for the programmes they want to watch; the charges begin at 20 sen and rise to RM5.

All it takes to subscribe is a one-time registration fee of RM388 for Internet access, a set top box and installation. The monthly subscription is RM38.

From now until Dec 25, Fine TV is offering an early bird subscription of RM10 for the first six months.

For Karaoke buff this could be an added attraction.

This also could be a death knell for Mitv as they are finding it hard to take off with little subscribers.

I heard that Measat 3 is deferring the launch date to next year.... Asthrow no more threats.. so no need to offer so many channels at the moments...

charges range from 20sen to RM5. If the nice movies are all at RM5 it could come up to rather a large sum month end with the RM38 charges.
