Hi .. I am looking for a 2nd hand MPV.

Any members who are currently using MPV, perhaps can advise on the pro & cons of the vehicle that you are using. Budget below $75K and ideally 3 to 5 year old.

Thanx .... many many .. :D

Willi... 2nd hand MPVs are only sold cheap if and when they start giving trouble - or when either the owner is fedup of repairing them or cannot afford the high maintenance or high gas consumption...

Cheers

Why dont you go for a brand new citra. Its around 80k. Used cars are quite risky as you do not know what has happened before.

citra is a good car...but the problem is waiting period..just beware....buying a MPV you have to think a few times....Spare a little bit more money...around 95k...get the new toyota inowa..

I believe Renault was the first company to start the MPV - I still remember back in 1988 when they advertised their "space wagon" when I was in the UK. Then Citroen followed with their MPV. If my knowledge about resale values of these European makes are correct, I am sure these MPVs should fall into your budget.

Unlike the Citras and Avanzas. the Citroens and Renault MPVs are really huge and spacious. Design wise, they are very futuristic. Unfortunately, resale value is not good.

Correction, The Innova 2.0E manual was only RM85K when I got it (exclude road tax and insurance). I understand the price has gone up a bit but should be less than RM90K.

I just sold my Nissan Serena 1997 for RM40,000.00. I know it is a bit old but so far since I used it, it has never given me any problem. Really really low mileage and really really used it as a second car. Sold it cheap because I'll be migrating next week....

Well then you must have taken good care of her and kept her well serviced... :p I know of a lady that drove her Estima for the last 4 years and never have serviced it or changed the engine oil... even the tyres were balding when I pointed out the dangers. And she shuttles her kids in that contraption of a vehicle!

Like I always say... its not the car - its the driver.. :p

Ps.. before some lady driver forummer tembak me for generalising - I better state here that not all lady drivers are bad... :D

To Australia. My old serena which I loved driving is well kept. I mainly used it to drive my kids around because I.ve installed a dvd in it. It spacious, which is good, and not that my kids move a lot because they all used car seat even for my 4 years old. But spacious enough to put in all the toys and other barang-barang when travelling.
