Just want to share with you food connosieurs. I was in PD the other day and I went to this restaurant called Hai chiew Sea Food. It's among a row of shop houses on the left just before you reach PD town if coming from Telok Kemang. For two pax, we just ordered one small fist, a small plate of prawns (maybe about 6 medium size prawns at most) and a plate of oyster egg omelette. Guess how much we were charged? RM 83.40. Oh, that included two glasses of chinese tea and 1 plate of rice. Be warned!!

Err...dear Pat:)...you are talking about the same joint before the old cinema...just after a Shell kiosk on your right...n an Esso kiosk on your left rightcoming to PD town from Jalan Pantai right?...Hai Chiew is a classic case...slaughtering tourists since as long as Orchi could recall people saying it there...

When I go to PD I usually eat at the Malay stalls you will find lots of seafood and are priced reasonable. Most Chinese restuarants are expensive and make a kill on "foreigners" buisness is bad lah.

Err...yes Patrick:)...next time proceed pass a roundabout in the town(on the old access road)...turn left as you cross the railway gate...pass the access entrance to Shell Club on your left at a sharp righthand bend...pass another Shell kiosk...n the Power Plant on your left...all the way 1 odd kilometer further until you notice a sea front on your left...n just by the end of that seafront on your left...there is a reasonably big restaurant(halal)...place where seafood there is fresh...but it's not as pricey as the one you've experienced in Hai Chiew...:)

After your meal...drive a close 200 meter...that's the traffic lighted junction where you need to turn left n proceed waywards to Seremban n sorts... :)

Thanks Orchi. I have other places to dig in for PD. Wanted to highlight this outlet just to warn others. Didnt want to go my fav place because it was a bit out of the way. Didnt expect to be slaughtered that way!

I went to Tiara Beach Resort, as we drive out along PD we meet Avilion and further a bit a split which one is old road to Seremban and the one on the left side a small road further before you meet The store. There are two restaurant, on your left, the one on the most left I would recommend, the fish is fresh with the eye popping out, the prawn are so big, we order chinese tea, prawn and fish and ko lou yoke for 3 person, RM83.40. Road side Tai chow

I know a good and relatively cheap place for Chinese restuarant food. Maybe it is the one described by Orchi. All I remember is to find the power station, heading away from PD town, and within 200 meters is a seafood restuarant with its own carpark.

One place to get reasonably priced food and/or seafood in PD is a place called Weng Yin Seafood Village.

If you are coming from PD town, just 100 or 200 yards before turning right into Guoman Resort Hotel, you can see their big signboard on the left.

The place is crowded after 7.30pm. The dishes are reasonably priced.

Here is their website:http://vturbo.com/wengyin/

And there's a satay stall closeby serving one of the best freaking satay outside of Kajang!

Hi leewinnie46, is Tiara Beach Resort a nice place to go? How's the room & facilities there? Can we find good food just near by/outside the resort?
Their weekend rate is quite expensive ya :( Thought of going next weekend.Tks.
