Hello all!

My t-shirts will be ready and delivered to me this coming Monday (28th November). I am intending to create some bunting banners to go with the sales. Some organisations have offered me space to put up the t-shirts for sale.

I surfed around the net and found some deals. I wonder if these prices are reasonable. Does anyone know?

Jubilee Network
http://www.jubilee.com.my/index.html
X Topus stand RM88
Solvent inkjet banner RM4 per square foot

Conceptual Events Sdn. Bhd.
http://conceptualevent.com/bunting_&_banner.htm
Metal bunting stand RM100
Light bunting stand RM90
(banner printing not sure yet)

Also, I am seeking sponsorship for the promotional buntings. The sponsoring company's name will go with the banner. Do you have any leads?

Would bunting be really effective in this situation? Probably more useful is to merchandise your t shirts. In any case, since this is for a good cause, I dont think there is any problem for you to 'merchandise' your T-shirt here for sale. How about it? Anyway, I would love to be your !st customer! And I think many Forumers here will support you too.

Hey guys! Thanks for still being keen on buying the shirt! I'll let you all know where to buy it, ok?

<b>Patrick</b> Oh... the buntings are not to be placed just anywhere. Let's say someone offered me a booth at the BLESS flea market, I need the bunting to stand beside the booth to draw attention from afar. Even if you intend to buy the shirt, you must know where it is and the buntings would be serve as signboards. There will also be events like family days and festivals where the place will be crowded, so I definitely need buntings to draw attention. I need 4 at the moment. Do you have any leads for sponsorship?

For heaven's sake, this is for a good cause and for charity in case you didn't know. How can anyone in his right mind ask for a discount? You should ask if you could pay more !

Hello all.

I do have promotions. It's for everyone, and not exclusively for this forum.

1 shirt RM30
2 shirts RM50.

How's that?
More info later. Let me handle the logistics first. *faint*

For a start, Evonne, why dont you bring your merchandise for our next TT session. Liaise with Orchi or PC, I am sure you would be able to sell them to all those attending. Then maybe we also can discuss your bunting issue then.

Hahaha! That would be funny? But where is the TT session? I don't have a car you see. The t-shirrts are quite heavy. How many people will be turning up?

For Subang folks, the t-shirt can be bought at InKafe, which is in front of Taylors' College. That's how the logistics work. We have stations. So we won't go around peddling the shirt ourselves.

Evonne, sorry but I dont think putting the Ts at one or two outlets can bring much success. And if it does, it will be slow. If I may suggest, you have to adopt a multi prong marketing approach. By the way, how many pieces do you have in total to market?

For out TT session next Friday, we can do it one or two ways:

1. One of us can pick you up plus your merchandise, and we we make it compulsory for all the Forumers to purchase at least 1 piece each.

2. If you cant make it, one of us will pick up the Ts from you, sell it and return the balance to you with the $$

Other fronts we can adopt:

1. All Forumers could take some quantity and help sell them. But they pay upfront so that there will be no collection/payment problem. Sizes can be changed later directly with you.

2. We can push the Ts out on consignment through connections like Dato Lee Hwa Beng, the Lioness and Lions Club. I am sure I can get their support. And I am sure the other Forumers like Orchi, Mac, Robert etc etc will also have their own contacts.

Back to you Evonne and the others for views and support.

Rgds.

Hi Patrick.

I would like to come to the TT session, but I wonder if it would be boring cuz I can't hear. haha!

I've 550 shirts in total. This is only the first order. When it sells out, I'll order more. I need to sell more than 7300 shirts in order to go for surgery.

Reason why I thought of the pick up point because I wanted to be professional. Bringing the shirts everywhere make us look like persistent salesperson and not many are willing to do that. We'd look like illicit peddlers. But if you guys are willing to do that, why not? I'm more than thankful!

I think Jeff Ooi might be able to help with the connection thingie. His blog would be a good medium for advertisement. Let's catch the events like carnivals and all.

As for the upfront thing, as much as I like to do that, I don't think it's possible because I'm selling 2 for RM50, while it is RM30 for 1. So there's no way to pay upfront unless I short change you guys. hehehe...

I am sure if there is an opportunity, Jeff would help too. And I am sure all the Forumers here too wouold help. They are all wonderful people.

As for the price, I suggest you stick to RM30 each. Dont bother about the 2 for RM50. Hey, this is for a worthy cause lah!! Those really sincere will not ask for discount and I am sure some many will not even mind to pay you more than RM30 as a kind gesture.

Hie Patrick,

I know you're kind and generous, but feedbacks say that RM30 is a lot. I guess we've go by general opinion. hehe...

Hi Yvonne, sorry for budging in this late. I have this to comment. If you are willing to sell two at RM 50.00, then if a person takes 20 pieces, get him/her to pay upfront RM 500.00. Hope my Maths is OK. Then let the person to push that quantity into the market either at RM 25.00 per piece or just like what you wanted it to be. This will also encourage people to sell. Leaving them and expecting that outlet to push for you will take ages. I am willing to take the first 20. You only need 25-30 people to dispose your first 550 pieces so that you can re order the second batch. Or you can make it easy to dictate the minimum order is 10. Remember, you have 7,300 pieces to dispose.

Come for the teh tarik session this Friday. Let us be noisy and I will bring lots of paper to communicate with you. We want to plan something for you.

By the way, for those who are not aware, go grab the December issue of the teenage magazine called SEVENTEEN. I am shy to tell you that I hijacked my daugther's one (no, no I was not ogling those teenage girls slim bodies untouched by Marie France) and found that Yvonne has a 2 page coverage on her written by herself. In it, it also mentioned that she will be launching her first book in the Mid Valley Megamall on 6th December. She also talked about her T-shirt project. I will get the details to share with you all here later.

Hie PCYeoh, great to hear from you again!

After some thorough thinking, I decided to only entrust those that I am close with, and not just anyone. This is nothing personal, and I understand that a big prong would be more effective. But at the same time, I must be careful that there would be no chance for anyone to abuse the project. Someone may buy the shirt from me at RM30 and sell it for RM35, we'll never know. If that happens, I'll be in deep trouble.

Again, this is nothing personal. But since I'm intending to raise a huge sum, I've to keep things accountable. If everyone comes forward to help peddle the shirts, never know that one day it might end up in Pasar Malam too! I know you guys mean well, but mismanagement can lead to a lot of trouble.

If you know anyone who wants to buy the shirt, you can make the purchase at InKafe on their behalf. The shirts will also be available at Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Kid Chan studio in Bangsaria. It's likely to be available at Amcorp mall and Mont Kiara too.

I've also been invited to set up booths at some big events.

So if you're still keen on helping, how about organising some other fundraising projects? Or help fit me and my shirts into somewhere. Anyone with leads to bookshops, retailers, events, and such?

Otherwise, come buy a shirt! hehe...

Dearest PCyeoh, I really don't know.

About 40 I guess. I try to keep track during the first few days of sales. But over the times, it's nearly impossible. I can't handle so much by myself.

Sham, Yvonne has no transport and therefore can't send door to door. She mentioned somebody is helping her to sell at InKafe, which is in front of Taylors' College. Please do her a favour by dropping by at your convenience to that shop. Thanks.

shamalasp, call me at 012-2995330. Since you said "I would like to get some t shirts" I believe you mean more than one. I have the stock and I can deliver them to you at your doorstep at USJ 2. When I finish my stock, I will get more from her. Those who want to be stockist, the understanding here is one must pay upfront the full amount and all goods sold are non returnable. This will enable her to manage the cash rather than keeping track of the payment. On this note, I would encourage fellow forumers to take say 5 each and help to push for her. Make it easy for the buyers to buy.
