Today news that the Cabinet has advised a police officer to drop its suit against students who reported to the ACA of his misconduct, only confirm to me that the Rule of Law in Malaysia is secondary, our justice system a joke, and that we live in a modern sultanate.

It is ridiculous that a cabinet have to tell a police officer to drop charges against him on a ACA and that our system is unable to manage the situation on its own. It clearly shows a clear disrespect for the rule of law and only raw political power, manouvering and opportunism runs our country.

The behaviour of police officers towards the China Nationals and transexuals also confirm their fascist corrupt way. A total disrespect maintaining the law and its about power and influence over anything else.

This is Dr. M legacy who basically wreck our constitution and broke more laws than any other leaders before him in Malaysia and hence institutionalize the legitmacy of autocracy and hence the modern sultanate way of governance.

The Sultan do what he think is right and the law is bend in his whims and fancy regardless of principles and procedure. His coterie of aristocrats follows his example and manipulate the weakness of the system for their own selfish reason and hence multiply the problem of not folowing the rule of law and principle of justice. In the end, the system falls flat on itself as the system gets more and more uncontrolable when everyone does whatever it feels like doing.

I had a friend who was a personal security advisor for one of the infamous royal family. Among the 2 years he's working with them, he has witness lots and lots of corruptions and unspeakable things they have done. Basically they are above the law, the whole malaysia road is theirs, they can speed all they want without a speed limit. If there's an accident, it's always covered up... No one can touch them. They will always get what they want... if not, you know what will happen to you lar...
Because of the nature of his job, he also work closely with the local enforcement. Just one phone call only, anyone will end up in a lockup, usually using the ISA as an excuse.

Is this what our hard earned tax money is paying for? :(

As Malaysians and as tax-payers, we all must speak out against any abuse of the Rule of Law. I agree with GreyShadow, I too have seen enough of the hanky pankies going on that I grew very sick of them. It is only through the Rule of Law that every man has an equal existence and a level-playing field and would be able to live with a sense of security and fairness for him and his broods. While we all now speak out against these dastardly acts by some recalcitrant cops, let us also not forget that we need to support those good ones who have been tainted by these scandals. Kerana seekor kerbau berlumpur, sekandang kerbau...... Lets teach our kids the right things, demonstrate the right things and it might take a wee bit longer but I'm sure we can all improve....

Oh ya~ I forgot their main source of income is not from our hard earned tax money...
They are running a high return zero entry cost family retail business, selling titles like Datuk, Tan Sri, YB, YAB... etc...
No wonder they are so filthy rich

Obviously this person doesn't know much about Malaysian history. No matter what is people's opinion on Dr.M, he was the man who brought the Sultans and their family members under control. Remember, Dr.M abolished many priviliges goven to royalty and he even changed the constitutions and set up a Special Court to hear cases against Sultans.
Dr.M may not have been the perfect leader that we wanted, but look at history and see who could have been the alternative. If Dr.M didn't beat TRH in 1988, TRH would have been the PM. Things could have been different, things could have been worse!

It appears when power is in the hands of people who cannot handle it, things get pretty screwed up. As the saying goes, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
