Harry Potter Goblet of fire...B+
Comedy,magic,mysterie..

I think this is the best of all the hairy potter..
Some teenager love here and there , jealousy bet frens .I guess harry and frens are growing up now with as they said hormones raging..They are around 14 years old?..4th year in Hozzwhat school of magic...Ron,Harry and hermoine are growwing up lor..Got side love love story and romance here.

Can see World Championship Crozzkat(the speeding witch broom catch ball game ) , Dragon fighting, violent mermaids , Hamsap water ghost trying to seduce harry , pretty hermoine , michevious twins(ron brothers) , Voliment is back also with his death eaters pals(followers).

Mystery in hozzwat school and nice twist almost at the end as who is the spy and trapping harry to meet voliment by using the TriWizard Tournment to trap harry..How?..U see ah.

This harry is the current most violent involving death , and violent magic in harry movies series until now..Nevertheless , i think harry still weak in magic..Not much hand combat..only run here and there..
But running/swimming around also got suspend which is nice..And the tragic events are also quite tragic..Nice to watch.

Be warned! 2.30 hours movie..Get drinks, sweets and empty your bowel and bladders before entering the magic zone.

I'm not a Harry Porter fan... I've never even seen 1,2 and 3 maybe if I'm 20 years younger I might enjoy it. But I like they way they attract Asian viewers by adding the Asian Girl as the puppy love interest of Harry Porter. Good Marketing scheme... Anyway, is there any black kid in the movie? If not maybe they would feature one in the next movie which would be released 2007

yUP..I too watched it at Summit, Sat midnight show...it was a long show...but I enjoyed it...I think its worth it…adding Asian character to the story is expected, since there are huge fans here.

I guess, Summit might have refurbished their THX system…the sound system was better than the last time I was there.

Haha.....the Asian girl appear in the books (Cho Chang)......so it appear not really marketing gimmick.......but sort of the author JK Rowling find it mayb appeal to a wider audience with something out of ordinary......which i believe she wrote at the stage when she haven't found fame like now.....which most of the readers feel that she seems to lost her touch in continuing her magical fairytale in Harry Porter...... :(

fyi.....i've read all 6 books.......my rank :
Book 1 - Harry Porter and the Philosopher's Stone ****
Book 2 - Harry Porter and the Secret Chamber**** +1/4
Book 3 - Harry Porter and the Prisoner of Azkaban ****+1/2
Book 4 - Harry Porter and the Goblet of Fire *****
Book 5 - Harry Porter and the Order of the Phoenix **
Book 6 - Harry Porter and the Half-Blood Prince ***
Book 7 - ???

* - Lousy
** - Boring
*** - Ok lar
**** - Nice and entertaining
***** - Wonderful and exciting

Watch all movie and so far no complaint....... :D
Yes.....Goblet of Fire is my fav so far ;)

Hi Cherry,

The Asian girl character was originally written by J.K. Rowling in the book. It's not merely added into the movie to attract Asian viewers.

Going to watch the movie tonite at Summit. After reading Cactuc1's review, I just can't wait to hit the cinema soon!!

I was there too with my family at 9pm show.
Don't think this was scary - the 3rd episode (Prisoner of Azkaban) was scarier.
As for ethnic groups in the storyline, Rowling is actually quite cosmopolitan - there were 2 Indian (Asian Indians) girls in the story too.

Yes, it is a dark story. If you don't like satanic representations, don't see this movie.

Chang, I believe I saw you with your wife & few others, kinda looked you in the eye :p but wasn't sure. I was waiting outside the cinema, with my bag of popcorns and drinks for my lousy other half who was late. :)

My next movie, must be in THX cinema..Zathura.

I think that must b the Patil sisters.....one of them being Parvati Patil is a dark-haired Gryffindor girl in Harry's year. Parvati is described by Dean Thomas as "the most beautiful girl in the year", along with her twin sister Padma Patil (a Ravenclaw). She is played by Sitara Shah in the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and by Shefali Chowdhury in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Also in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the wizarding Britain's state of civil war had the Patil twins' parents worried, which they had every right to be. After the attack on Katie Bell, Mr. and Mrs. Patil seriously considered taking the girls out of Hogwarts. They relented after no more incidents like Katie's happened, though on the morning after Dumbledore's passing both twins were gone. Their parents had come to collect them overnight and none of the Patils stayed for Dumbledore's funeral.

Parvati and her sister's names and appearance in the movies implies they are of Indian descent. Patil is a common surname in the state of Maharashtra, India. Parvati is the name of a Hindu Goddess, wife of Lord Shiva and daughter of the Himalayas.
:D

And then there's Alicia Johnson/Katie Bell(Gryffindor chasers), Lee Jordan (George&Fred's best friend aka Quidditch match announcer) and Dean Thomas who are Afro-Americans, so yeah black kids are aplenty in the movie.

I'm very disappointed with the casting of Fluer Delacour, for me she should be mesmerizing, according to J.K.Rowling she would be someone who cast spells on men in her presence.

And where's Dobby? isn't he the one to steal gillyweed from Snape's store and hand it to Harry, someone refresh my memory here.

I thought I was in for some fun when the 2 schools joined Harry's school. A tad disappointed that characters from these never had any lines. I could only recall Krum saying goodbye to Hermione at the end. The hype regarding Katie Chung was a bit overrated as it looks more like a cameo appearance.

Overall, an entertaining flick, though not a fan of HP. In fact, having watched the first 3 movies, I absolutely could not remember what they were about. No offense to HP fans, but that's me. :D

you must be psychic because J.K Rowlings is not even sure yet how she wants the ending to be. Michael Gambon wasn't in LOTR la, I think you mistook him for Sir Ian or Christopher Lee.

Michael Gambon normally take on roles of drunkards, wife beaters, gamblers, mobsters, paid assasins, tyrant monarchs and etc. All very challenging roles but......Now you understand why his Dumbledore is so disorientated and confuse :)

I like to watch harry porter series...;) ...the Ron Brothers, there are funny...about harry magic is not good...actually he still does not know to make full use of the power he had...remember that Voldemort had pass half of his power to him.

In the first episod, look how he scared of his cousin brother by talking to the snake. He has the ability to talk to snakes.

I am looking forward to the next series..;)
