Hi Joonie,

For a start, you can get MS Frontpage software. Play with it just like MS Word. You can also get Lynda's MS Frontpage training. Very good for a beginner. Then only you go for classes. As such you can advance pretty fast.

Another place to go is www.geocities.com - familiarize yourself with designing website and host if for free at Geocities.

Anyone serious about webpage design and production should learn HTML. Although there are a lot of good web publishing tools available like Frontpage, a real designer needs to know the scripting language. This is because if the webpage develops any problems later, it may be very difficult to troubleshoot and repair unless the webdesigner knows HTML. You may get the quick course or self learn on Frontpage but make it a point to really learn HTML.
