Hello everyone!

I'm organizing a Creative Writing seminar this coming December. It's a non-profit/public service project, so this is not a commercial advertisement!

Here's an exerpt of the brochure I created for the event.

"Someday, I am going to write a bestselling novel!"

An all too common line. Is there a story that you're dying to write, but never gotten to because you don't know how?

"Where do I start and how do I continue?".
"Nah, my writing isn't good enough to get published".
"I can't seem to develop good plots".
"50,000 words! I probably won't have enough determination to write that much".

Aspiring writers are in abundance, but many have barely started before giving up. Why? Simply because creative expression is generally suppressed and unrecognized in Malaysia. However, this situation will soon be history as a young Malaysian writer rises to encourage creative writing in this country.

As a published author who has been through the toughest of writing and publishing, John Ling is empathetic towards those still struggling with the pen.

In this 2-hour seminar, John Ling will reveal techniques in writing good stories, and secrets to getting your book in print. At the end of the day, you will have a clearer grasp in delivering that bestseller in you.

This is a public service project. Admission is FREE OF CHARGE, but bring your own notebook and pen.

The event will be held at the Kiwanis Community Learning Center in SS14 Subang Jaya, on 4th December 2005. You may refer to the brochure (http://www.yvonnefoong.com/file/seminar.pdf) for more precise information.

Hope to see you guys there!
