hey there, i'm planning to go down to singapore during christmas time.. :)
Anyone know any good hotels? (Cheap/ close to MRT station..)

Bencoolen st hotel 88 are quite cheap SGD 69.00 + 20 deposit per day. walking distance from bugis junction, near to raffles and about 20 minutes to orchard rd.

Err...near to Kereta Ayer Street...Pearl Plaza...HongKong Street...River Valley Rd?... :)

Good choice, just walk down along Bencoolen St., you'll find Sim Lim Tower & Sim Lim Square.

Err...walk backwards to Upper Wilkie Rd...or walk across Rochor Canal...to "little India"...Serangoon Rd...

some tips for you.

Go to raffles hospital for roti bakar at the..forget the name..but it's on the corner of the cafeteria. the tea si is darn good...very close to east malaysia type.

or else go to bra basah canteen for cheong fish porridge or seafood noddle.

or else go to hainan street (in front of bra basah and behind maybank) for the best chicken rice available.

or else go to raffles for the food.

all are within walking distance from bencoolen.

Why not try YMCA nice cosy place off Bukit Timah Road a bit off the Commercial place though. Check the website.

for low budget hote, there's a nice one called hangout @ mt emily. it's low budget hotel which is v popular. google it for info.

Err...there is also the famed Ghim Peng Hotel...@Geylang Ave.
