Hi
Are you one of those who gets annoyed and irritated easily with the bombardment of these jingles and commercials you hear and see day after day.
Its true advertisments is a revenue earner and we have no choice but to stomache them.
But i tell you there is one 'commercial" on my favourite radio station Light and Easy" that drives me crazy.
With a sultry and sensous voice she says ' some do it on a lazy afternoon..some do it during a rainstorm...some do it before going to bed at night...some do it after a bath in morning....you can do it anytime any where.

What do you do during those times?..anyway she ends up saying in a sexy voice READING.some anticlimax!!! :p

Which advertisment irritates you most?

TQ

Almost all does. The most irritating ones are those that appear PIP that results in wrong picture mode , 4:3 to 16:9 , reduce sizes to just 60% of the visible area...:(

A recent one on 8tv shows a monkey looking for 'banana' thru a man's pants. I find it tasteless. :D

I think the following ads are horrible:-

The Daia detergent ad - where a clown type person is on an elephant.

Ogawa (i think) - About how the guy and his family who struggled during the old days, and now that he's successful, he rewards his aging parents with a massage chair!

There's many more....but my mind's blank at the moment!

i personally think the twisties one is pretty good. it's a creative media buy. and they used an actual dj as their voice over to make it sound genuine.

MPs slam ad as mocking monarchy.

A tv commercial depiciting a Sultan rejecting a gift of rice in favour of a particular brand {Bernas}has irked our learned MPs saying it s a mockery of the Sultanate.ha ha ha!! Aiyoh! these guys have no sense of humour.

really? the actually featured a sultan in a tv commercial? i havent seen it yet. but strange that it got approved by RTM (the body that approves all TVCs for air on Malaysian terrestrial TV). they are usually very strict about it.

Adriene, r u in the advertising industry? Well, since u know that RTM vets and approves commercials appearing on our airwaves and TV, you shld also know that certain gomen related commercials just needs the nod frm the TOP. Just hv to follow the general guidelines - no sexual overtones and violence.

Hmm...it is almost always these 2 clowns that are the trouble makers in the Parliament - Badrudin and Bung Mokhtar - most times over petty issues. Like what gtl term them as - cartoons.
