View Full Version : Malaysia Airlines has increased its prices for first and business class by between 48

The lowest increase at 48.73% is for first class return flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Los Angeles route. Previously the price was RM11,408; the new price is RM16,971.

The biggest increase is 167.51% for first class one-way between Kuala Lumpur and Newark. The previous price was RM10,213; the new price is RM27,321.

something is wrong here when MAS thinks they will improve their profitability by raising their fares between 48% and 167%

initially, i was thinking, at this sort of prices, wouldn't it drive your customers away?

but then again...

could it be that a high percentage of their customers would be the highly ranked civil servants and the trade missions who would have "no choice" but to fly MAS.

Hahahhaha.....RM27,321 for a business class trip and RM54,642 for round trip to see customer in New York. I think I will be making a loss before even meet the customer.

For this amount, I could have take other airlines, fly first class and stay in the plaza come back and have changes. Our small world in malaysia is getting ridiculous!

Yup... the very same ones that goes on the infamous lawatan sambil belajar tours. They should name it lawatan sambil belanja to be more transparent about their intent. At least they would be honest and the average Malaysian cannot say that they lied about the trips... :mad:
