Anyone was watching Malaysian Most Beautiful just now? (8TV, 9:30-10:30pm)

They didn't show much clips from the audition, which might be the most interesting part of reality show, so brief, why?

They put 4 girls in one room, so rocket ah?

And they eliminated 3 girls on first round, why so many, they don't have budget to air the show for more than 12 episodes ah?

And the last girl who got eliminated, Sheila Majid said she has broken a rule, what rule? was it because her bf didn't allow the cameraman to shoot the process of her checking into the hotel? never explain ....

anyone who watched just now, please enlighten me, please ....

I feel the objective of the show is to show the ugliness of the gals rather than the other way round. Why do I say so? They show snippets of ugly and disgusting finalist-wannabes on last nite's show to make viewers laugh, which though funny, I feel is degrading. Next week they're gonna show bickering amongst roommates. Why else would they put 4 gals in a bedroom meant for 2 or 3?

The last contestant eliminated last nite was a pity. I find her very pretty. She broke the rule of not being punctual in signing in as her boyfriend objected to her participation or some other reasons.

Overall, the show is to provoke ugliness in the gals so that they can eliminate, leaving the least ugly gal as Malaysia's Most Beautiful.

Well, I think its a stupid reality show and degrading women. I guess they wanted to make it a bit like America's Top Model. When they were recruiting for those ladies the advertisement was misleading saying that how do you say you are beautiful? A lady can be beautiful in all shapes and sizes but key is how she carries herself and relate to people. To me, the show didn't feature these qualities and its was a total disappointment. I think its a waste of time, effort and money to come up with that show. I prefer local reality show like Step Forward and Bersamamu because it sends out meaningful messages and experiences.

yes, same time next week, thurs 9:30pm.

Though they said all shapes and size, but the final 15 more of less still complied to a certain standard, this shows that outer beauty still plays an important role.

They also didn't show much of the audition, in the sense of what are their criterias, what were the reasons those didn't qualified and how did they get the final 15.

I think the reason why they put 4 girls in a room which only have 3 beds is because three girls will be elliminated soon, leaving on 12 .... 12 divided by 3 = 4 rooms.
But still sound very rocket (stingy) right ... like very low budget reality show.

Err...Orchi feels the participants put themselves up thru the experience...can't really blame the organizer alone...

Err...but Orchi appreciates where Cherry:) is driving at...n should these gals be seeking glamour n popularity...they should be prepared to take salt n bitter experiences...

kindda "malu" coz malaysian women in actaul facts are 10x more beautiful than the participants.............. :)

wonder whether everyone agrees that the judges themselves are beautiful... :D

kindda pathetic participants who can take time off work (or jobless) and participate.................

but again, they get to be on huge billboard at jln raja laut near pertama...guess that is neat enough for them :D

Kinda confirmed that the show should be renamed "Malaysia's Most Ugly". The judges singled out 3 contestants in last nite's show and dubbed them "the 3 most ugly of the bunch". I'm kinda appalled by the antics of some of the contestants. However, I didn't expect the judges to stoop to their level and calling them "ugly", "this bunch of people don't deserve to be here", "worse of the lot" etc.

To the judges:
Yasmin Yusof, you look so haggard already, please don't frown and spew negative words coz that is a real turn off on top of the first turn off.

Sheila Majid, why don't you just stick to singing. Trying to sound critical by using words like "bunch of people" so often is sickening.

Mr. Whassisname, why are you made a judge anyway? I could hardly hear anything from you other than seeing you sit pretty and pretending to be cool.
:D

And to top it all off, one of the eliminated contestant said that the one thing she learnt from the contest is to "never be nice to others anymore" coz it was never reciprocated. Is this the kind of morals we want to instill at the end of the show? She's 18 years old for info.

I live in USJ 12. There are some 1150 houses here so find her will be like looking for s needle in the haystack. Would you mind giving me her full address. When you said the youngest one, how young is young? Above 16? Need to confirm the age as you also said she is "malicious." What do you mean when you said that? Has it got anything to do with flirtatious? ...hehehehe...... too.

I agree with what cherry said.

there is many definations to describe a girl beautiful. actually a girl is beautiful in many ways..only our eyes differenciate them...

But on my personal opinions, a beautiful girl should be able to handle housework and also her own office work. furthermore the girl should be friendly, honesy, understanding.

some girls knows that she is pretty, tends to be corky..this is what i hate the most..;)

Aiya, u din see the episode that day?? Three girls were called to be eliminated, Zahra, Elisha and Melissa la! On that episode, after Zahra was eliminated, she said, Melissa was malicious, which was why i quoted her.. to be maliciuos. Eh, USJ 12 not that big only ma.. one of the smaller USJs. Easier to spot her in One U, as she works nearby, and she shops there very often.

I guess you din watch the show la, PCyeoh, if not i dun think u can't see who is the youngest of the three, Elisha, Zahra and Melissa, Or you din read my post properly.

Anyway, I do think the purpose of the show is the show the ugly side of the girls who think they are beautiful. He he he, so much much for self confidence, or pride, or, arrogance. It's very much unlike normal beauty pagents where they only show how beautiful or how charitable they are, but in this show, the show makes a fool out of the participants, to show the world, "oh, u think u're very beautiful meh?? nah, let the world see how 'beautiful' u really are la"

So, in the end, the one that stays on.... is the least of all weevils....they still have to choose one, there must be a winner! And I heard...hehehe.... the big boober is one of the final 3.

to be honest, that's not a "malaysian" show at all... malaysian gals do not b**** about others openly like that lah... they have been "tuned" to behave like the westerners... so we are not watching "malaysian most beautiful" but "western-made malaysian most errrrrrr...." just cant say that word... and it's very wrong to have them represent malaysian gals... very very wrong...

I believe i am one of the many who has never watched the show before. Somehow the commercial that was used to advertise this show on tv has put me off from watching this show from day one. Typically, the commercial has only one point to proof that is to see "beautiful" ladies b****ing the whole way. This is not how i want to remember our beautiful malaysian ladies is all about. Nuff said.

Women who swear should not even be part of the final 15 of "Malaysia's most beautiful". Unfortunately I could only remember the show as one that has many censored utterings and girls stopping short of catfights. Or maybe that is reserved for the latter half of the show.

Malaysian or not. I guess this boils down to the fact that we are all still human... and each of us have the nice side... and the ugly side. Just so happen these days, reality shows love showing the ugly side. Just take Amazing Race for an example... one of the interesting parts of the race was how they argue and get along with each other in running the race.

Well, there's this saying that goes around... never work in the the same company as your best friend... or stay together in the same house. That's when you really learn the true nature of the other party... and sad to say... sometimes these relationships end with no longer being friends. So Malaysian or not...

this show really sucks big time. The judges. they are ugliest. seriously who choose them?man. if let say, you let a recent crowned malaysian beauty queen to be one of the judges, convincing or not afterall she is one of most beautiful. but why those 3? why?
