I am thinking of purchasing a club membership in Sunway Lagoon. Surfing the web, the club looks pretty impressive. Anyone of you a member? Appreciate your views and comments.

Thanks.

I am sure u hv gone there and have a look at the club yourself?

Check out the pool size? go and see for yourself during the peak hour, if you can still swim in the crowd, then the club is still not over crowded.

Try ask them where is their Ping Pong tables, if they can show you and you can still play there, the club facility is till intact.

to maximise profit, clud often has no crowd control, they will sell as many membership as they possibly could. Yes, there may be a max number stated somewhere, but that number will always never fulfill.

I am a member without any regrets. Why?

Most importantly I don't play golf, so don't need to a club with golf membership, not to mention the high mship & mthly subscription fees.

- facilities are in good condition & clean
- security is good
- food is good & reasonable
- lots of activities organized by the club e.g coloring contest, etc...
- lots of classes e.g. swimming, tennis etc...
- many more....

visit the club to find out more.....

Is the club located next to Sunway Medical? Does it have it's own facilities e.g. pool and courts, or any chance that members use the facilities at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel?

I also have a Sunway Lagoon Club Membership which I want to sell. It is a family membership and all your children and wife will be able to use the club facilities.

Yes, the club has a very clean swimming pool, gym, tennis and squash courts. http://www.sunway.com.my/lagoonclub/default.asp

Normal membership cost around RM$6000, I am selling it for RM$2000 as I am shifting to Kota Kemuning.

Monthly fee is around RM73.00 and I will absorb the tranfer fee.

Anyone interested, please call me (Lim) at 019 3233090.

Thanks :)

Hi there all. My family and I currently are selling off our Sunway Lagoon Club Membership. It has a complete set of facilities minus a golf course and you can enjoy the club facilities with your family and friends. We're selling it off at RM 2000 and the price is negotiable. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there're any queries. Thanks. :)

As to the message above, there's a typo error for the price. It's priced at RM3000 and the price is negotiable. Sorry for any inconvenience and mislead caused. Thanks. :)

I have a friend who is a doctor who is migrating to Australia for good.

Today she offered to sell me her membership but I am already a member without any regrets. So on behalf of her, I am posting a for sale sign for her Sunway Club membership. Her asking price? I think around RM 2,000 is fine. If you are interested, PM me and I will pass her your contact.

cleomae started this thread to ask about the opinion of joining the club two years ago but now folks start selling the club membership in this thread. Hmm...

Well, for me I do not join any club because I think leisure and socialization should not be done in a materialistic background.

Hello friend....joining a club is not about showing your material wealth. It's about getting to use the facilities...swimming pool, tennis court, badminton, etc......
By the way, can you play badminton for free? Only if you use the outdoor court or using your gate as the net.....sheeesh...

Hai

But not everyone plays badminton. People who play usually will form a small group and book badminton courts (e.g. in some schools). In this case,
a) the cost is much lower. And when everyone in the group is busy, they can cancel the game anytime. This is different from club membership where no matter you go or not you still have to maintain the payment. Here you can see that LMei's dad wanted to sell the membership because he did not have time to go there.
b) the socialization is more effective.

I play basketball in the neighborhood. ;)

Just for the heck of it. And not meant to offend/insult or belittle the club...

(since I pop in once a blue moon to have beer in the pub -hohumpub - same price as any SJ pub).and have bad experience with con-job swimming instructor.

But for rm1000, i will seriously consider. But the seller must also take care of the transfer fee.

Otherwise thanks for the read. :)

Bro, name like the conman i aledy lupa lah...he has a few college students as helpers. After promising in his sales pitch that any kiddo can be trained to swim in 8 lessons, he failed to deliver. All the kids do for the 1st 6-7 lessons each time was to hang on to the edge of the pool and blow bubbles.

After the 7th lessons, he will ask that another 8 sessions be signed up. Its a con-job!

Finding the time, I took my kiddo to 3K and after a mere 3 X 1 hr session, I not only got her to swim but also to do backstroke and doggie crawl!

The only sure way, is to extract a 'guarantee Can Swim after 8 lessons' then u fren wont kena con lah...Goodluck my man!

The club recently underwent a renovation. Saunas have been replaced with steam baths & toilets upgraded. Generally much more pleasant.

I wish I can lie but the club is definitely not crowded except maybe during weekends of school holidays. I hope this info does not bring a sudden influx of new members as I like the club the way it is now- not too crowded.

Members also get a discount eating at the in-house restaurant.

Just beware that the current club manager and the committee (maybe not all members) do not listen their members and/or enforce club rules as per the stipulated handbook.

If you can live with this, then it is a good buy. Otherwise, you should consider Holiday Villa instead...going for about 2.5k. You can do your own research on the pros-and cons of each but at least you have an alternative to consider
