View Full Version : 3 Days "Fruit Fast"

Correct way of eating fruits.
~ fruits should be taken in an empty stomach
~ not as desert after a meal as is often done

Fruit is the most important food. Let's say you eat 2 slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. As fruit digests fater than bread, the slice of fruit digests quickly and is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but its passage is blocked by the bread which takes longer to digest..

In the meantime the whole meal ferments and turns to acid. Consequently, when the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

So it's better to eat your fruits in an empty stomach or before your meals!

It is incorrectly presumed that some fruits like orange and lemon are acidic and will enhance acidity in the stomach. Research however shows that all fruits become alkaline in our body.

Don't drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste.

Eating the pulp or whole fruit is far better than drinking the juice as the fibre is good for you. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

Try a 3-days 'fruit fast', a very simple and effective way to cleanse and de-toxify your body.

During the 'fruit fast' you can eat different fruits at different times, although occasionally mixed fruit salad would also be permissible and more interesting.

Hi everyone. I'll be starting my 3 days fruit diet today. Just had a banana and a cup of nescafe (cheat a bit)..Gonna take more fruits for lunch..and have some salad for dinner.. Will see if I look more radiant by the end of the 3 days or something else! :p If I start posting about food in the middle of the night then you know lar.. :p

For those who are with me, if you wanna stock up more fruits and quickly..you could go to Taipan's newly opened 'Just Fruit' shop.. same row as Baker's Cottage.

Suggestion of fruit : tomato, carrot, apple, papaya and may be take some oat too. Help us to clean our colon.

Thanks Bohong. :o I cheated on my diet again today..opened the fridge, stared at the fruits whilst thinking about curry laksa! hehe...so today is not counted have to re-start day 1 tomorrow! wish me luck. :o

Eh mon, i suggest you start after Raya la, with all the open houses and big makans around, how to tahan.

5th November, come on I'll join you. Lets see if i can managed this as well.
I hope i don't get easily irritated by the lack of carbo.

I've tried fruit fasting for 5 days for a number of time and its really good but sometimes you have no energy. If I feel like that I would take isotonic drink... You're sure to loose pounds practicing the fast.

Could be true..it's not gonna be easy..see, I've failed on the 1st day already! Maybe we could mix a little of wheat..air-popped popcorn or plain steamed corns.
Heard that it could give us a little boost and relax us..before we start behaving like nasty monkeys :p ..me, I mean.. :p

mon, fruit fasting won't help la .. wif all the posting we posted out on where to makan, how nice is tis place & etc etc .. jz forget about the whole thing , and enjoy eating good food while we still able to .. :D

just make sure u remember to take ur fat burner / slimming tea .. wif some good workout .. everything should be okay :)

speaking of food , i jz remembered i haven't got breakfast yet till now .. :eek:

Hahahaha....dearest Kokomo, don't spoil my plan :D This is so hillarious, me coming up with a thread about this healthy 3 day fruits diet and now I'm saying please don't try it, it's not gonna work anyway! and I hang my white flag already? Hahaha...I can't stand all these laughing but it's good workout for my tummy muscles!!
Ok ok, will take it easy now. Where were we in the cari makan? Fondue and mum's cooking right? Let's go :D

Kokomo, x-ray is bad bad idea becos you'd have to fast a day before..Oh no, right? let's scram back to cari makan.

And everyone, pls do remember to take fruits before your main meals...IT HAS TO WORK!! :p

I actually don't know this? Hey Kokomo, thanks for the info. But 2 hours after main meal ar..by that time already time for another main meal wor..:D

Fruits are indeed a regular thing but how often do we actually take them, tho we've always known them to be good and healthy for our bodies, as they contain a large number of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals etc.. It is better than taking supplements to provide each nutrient separately.

Wa, look who's talking..like pro only :p Kokomo, we'd better include more fruits into our diet or else can't see our toes standing up with all the eating in cari makan! :p

mon, actually for the next main meal it hv to be above 4 hrs .. if evry 2 hrs main meal , i guess i really can't see my toes oredi .. :eek:

Yep, nowadays ppl dun take fruits so regularly, cos we're hardly home? lazy to eat? we would rather try better food than fruits? we're not vegetarians :D Mon, if u're talking bout piano and music then u're a pro , i would jz giv u tis reaction ... :o but comes to fruit nutriens ... that one pretty standard la .. u copy from where wan? hehe .. :p

Fruits are gettin' more expensive nowadays ... so most ppl won't really buy much fruits to eat ... but i do like strawberries, guava (be it green o red), kiwi, watermelon, honey dew n bla bla bla ... :rolleyes:

i've got an idea mon, if we can't see our toes ... pls try to grow longer toe nails .. hahah .. :D

So clever.. :) Thanks to my friend for sending me my first posting on this fruit diet..I've seriously tried but for a day only.. Thought 3 days would not hurt but what do I know, it's quite painful :D Hey, I'd better not tell you until after I've succeeded..hehe..

Longer toe-nails or even just long toe-nails?? yikes.. :eek:

Err..no..no..just 3 days..main intention is not to put off weight but to simply and most effectively cleanse and de-toxify the body. :)
And yes, I thought that could be a good start for me to jump start on a diet course, not solely on fruits but to replace at least a meal with just fruits..
One should look more radiant if keeping to this regime and undoubtedly, feel healthier too..don't ya think?
Anyway, today is a good day to start, for me..Haven't had anything to eat but just 2 glasses of water and 2 small bananas..Feeling o~k..I think :o
Well, let's see how long I could keep up to this..again. Or if I'd turn into a nasty monkey.. :p

Wanna look more radiant? then make sure u hv sufficient of sleep and smile more .. like me :D definitely look 10 yrs younger .. :p So were u a nasty monkey over the weekend? Hope not , it was a beautiful day yesterday .. and had a good long sleep .. hahah

and yes, I was a little nasty over the weekend, like I've said earlier, had the 2 bananas on Sat morning and felt a little wrecked by after noontime..

Hmmm .. in Sydney? Was the weather cold at that time? If it is, then maybe it got frozen :eek: Hehe ... anyway, diff individuals stomach react differently to certain thing we eat ... u're so damn lucky !!

Yup, I luv fresh salmon too .... whenever I go eat sushi, i'll take mainly, fresh salmon .. :D
