Mediterranean Food Anyone?

Great Mediterranean stuff without bursting your wallet........

An evening at Cascabel Hey folks…do you know we have a Mediterranean Restaurant right here within our midst? Yeah…right here in Subang Jaya! Located in SS14 close to the Brick Pub. Cascabel is owned and run by Adnan Sahnoun, a Tunisian married to a Malaysian. Adnan is a very simple, unassuming and friendly guy who takes great pain to please his customers.

The restaurant is quite quaint, nothing posh but adequate. For a Mediterranean type of outlet, this is probably the best value for money outlet you can find in the Klang Valley.

The Mediterranean region comprises 40 odd countries and Cascabel tries to serve the best from as many countries as possible. They are famous for their appetizers such as Brik – a Tunisian speciality made from popiah skin with eggs, tuna and potato. Or you may want to try their Samosa, a Middle Eastern meat puff with beef or chicken. They also serve salads, soups, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas, deserts, drinks and beverages. Adnan is very proud of his special Ipoh coffee brewed in the traditional cappuccino apparatus. If you love coffee, don’t miss it. Some of my friends who have tried it swear it’s one of the best in town. They also boast of some Malaysian items and the usual Western entree in case your guests, friends or relatives insist on having something Malaysian or Western.

Set lunches and dinners are available everyday from about RM12 to RM15. Set meals come with appetizer, main course and a choice of coffee or fresh juice.

If you are bringing a whole gang of folks, suggest you make booking to ensure a table. Cascabel is located on the back row of shop houses that face the “banking row” of SS 15 along Subang Utama. The address is:
