Pizza vs Satay... a very Malaysian sort-of deli run by a husband and wife team.
She, Safina, is the pizza specialist and he, Mohd. Faisal, is the satay expert. Combining their culinary skills is the
best thing that has come up for SJ folks' palates.
For satay, you have a choice of chicken, beef or mutton. Both their chicken and beef satay was really good - one of the best I have tasted.
The best thing about the chicken is that you can hardly spot any fat unlike the satay served elsewhere. You can order the satay in sets which consists of 10 sticks, nasi and the razzmataz that comes with this all-time Malaysian favourite
Now, for the most popular dish of the house - the nasi lemak!! Served piping hot, you have a choice of rendang or curry chicken, rendang beef or sotong.
For just RM3.50 you have a choice of 1 meat. But if you like just plain nasi with sambal bilis, it comes for just RM1.50!! I bet you will come back a second time if you are a true nasi lemak lover.
Another item for folks from the north. If you like assam laksa... yum yum... try it. One of the best around... really!! Oh caution, if you are not into chilli hot stuff, tell the person taking orders you don't want chilli padi. Otherwise, sure problem!! The assam laksa is priced at RM4.00
Hey, before you go, don't forget to try their pizza. I cannot say it's the best I have tried, but it's very
good... good in taste and good in value. And freshly made before your eyes!
Pizza costs about RM8-35 depending on size and topping. Try it and tell me what you think.
Other Italian delicacies include calzone and focacia. Don't know what they are? Best way is to go there and find out. Other choices include spaghetti, curry mee, sandwiches, burgers etc etc. The bottom line is no one will face a lack of choice including your kids.
Come casual because the restaurant is not airconditioned but it's reasonably comfortable. Opened everyday except about 2.45 to 5 pm when they take a break. On Saturday and Sunday, it is opened the whole day. As for availability of nasi lemak, note the following hours:
MON - FRI 6 - 11 pm
SAT 12.30 - 2 pm, 6 - 11 pm
SUN 9.15 am - 2 pm, 6 - 11 pm
